THis is the best hotel in the Woodland Hills area. It in right in the Warner Center. It is next to two shopping malls and behind it is a park that has movies or entertainment every Sat and Sun in the summer. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful.
The price varies a lot depending on wheter or not they have a convention going on at the hotel.
The breakfast buffet is great. It is a little slow for dinnner. Go else where if you can plenty of places near by.

You won't find anything particularly outstanding about his property's physical plant. It's quite simply, an ordinary Marriott in this regard. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but quite typical and not at all memorable and seemingly a bit dated. The lobby, restaurant and bar are fine, but again, typical and nothing special. I don't know when the last time this property was renovated, but it seems to me that it must be coming due sometime in the not too distant future..

One thing that did both me was the location of the bar which is right in the midst of the "open concept" entrance/lobby/reception area. There is really no atmosphere here unless you count the streams of soccer kids running around on the weekend that I was there. It's noisy and not at all relaxing especially with the little ones cavorting around the entire area.

That all being said, I found the staff here to be extraordinary and exceptionally well-trained and well-groomed in their respective positions. This includes "Diana", I think it was at the front desk who was most pleasant congenial and focused on her clientel. Now, how often have you checked into a hotel where the front desk staff may be efficient at getting you your room key, but are obviously distant in engaging their guests? Happens all the time. A perceptive HR team management will look for those who will truly engage their guests and focus on their needs, especially those at the front desk who are making the first, and most important, impressions for a guest's stay. This management team is doing precisely that.

I failed to get the name of the bartender, but he was also exceptional. Very attentive but not overbearing. Very efficient going about serving his customers quickly, engaging those who wanted attention and knowing when to leave those alone who wanted to be left alone while never being too far from hand to see to their needs. Outstanding.

Polo, a waiter in the restaurant at breakfast, was also exceptional. How many times have you been addressed by name by waitstaff anywhere? Polo made it a point of knowing my name and addressing me by it. It makes the whole experience much more personal beyond his being a fine waiter.

My complaint of the quality of the food at breakfast can be applied to about 95% of the hotels that I have stayed at. The breakfast pastries/muffins/etc are all the commercially prepared, pre-frozen kind that are simply unpacked and thrown on the trays. Inevitably, not only are they almost always far from fresh looking, they are far from fresh tasting. This hotel, like most, puts little effort into offering fresh, high quality offerings in this area. The rest of the breakfast food was fine with an omelet station which seems to be quite standard at most properties today.

So, while the property is quite ordinary, the staff here well makes up for it and can make staying here a very pleasant experience.

We only stayed one night but we found this hotel outstanding in all respects. Every staff member we had contact with was most cordial. The location is superb. good restuarant adn s Starbuck's in the lobby. Does get any better than this.

Rented a car at Hertz LAX to drive to the hotel. Hertz is located inside the hotel, making it very convenient. Hotel is located next to a mall with restaurants and a big AMC movie theater. The much larger Topanga mall is also located not too far from the hotel.

Lobby is wonderful, with many chairs, clean. Great staff all around. Nice comfortable room with good bed (although the covers are very warm), flat screen TV, fridge (only hotel with a fridge during my stay in LA).

Really liked the Starbucks inside the hotel with coffee and breakfast/lunch items. Wi-fi was free in the lobby, but expensive in business center and inside the room.

We were a little apprehensive about staying here, as it seemed like a million miles away from Hollywood, Santa Monica and Beverly Hills. Its really not that far, even by LA traffic standards. We even visited Pasadena while we were there. Its really a lovely hotel, with nice pools, gym, bar and a Starbucks open later. Outdoor fire pits and a large AMC theatre across the street. There is a monstrous Westfield mall about 3 blocks away and restaraunts abound. Really a very good location. Helpful and well-mannered staff, so generally a nice place to stay. The only downside is the $13 room wireless charge and sketchy lobby wi-fi. Really? Its 2012, McDonalds has free wi-fi.

I'm not sure why some say this isn't a five-star Marriott, but--for my taste--this beautiful property lacks nothing. It is very well-appointed for both leisure and business travelers. If you're here for business, the hotel offers an excellent business center, a Hertz rental car onsite, and an expansive convention and meeting center. If you're here for leisure, you're right across the street from the Westfield Shopping Center and many fun restaurants as well as a movie metroplex.

As for the hotel, it's clean, beautifully-maintained, and offers excellent room service and overall service.

I do have one small nit: as a lifetime Platinum member, I have access to the Concierge lounge where I indulged in some pretty average hors d'ouevres and a glass of wine. The hotel charged me $7 for the wine. Hmmmm.

Other than that, no complaints. I would definitely stay again.
