Staff was very professional & helpful.Grounds were neat and tidy, There was some type of air freshener that was irritating to not good smelling. Had some type of reaction to jacuzzi chemicals with itching. Noise level was a little high. Breakfast was not good. I have stayed at many Best Westerns and had their breakfast. It was basicially all carb related food. Bread, muffin, bagels, pancakes. Only fruit was apples. I had to ask for real butter and the syrup. Only offered on table margarine. They had Nutella, which I love but in the half that I went through, they product was open. Hence, your not going to eat an already product. Able to find two that were not open. I also thought that the price of the room was high for the quality.

Thank you for your review of our hotel. We are undergoing a guestroom renovation to our property, and hope that you will consider us again in the future. We have switched cleansers from aroma based products to Proctor and Gamble's Commercial line of cleaners and fresheners to include Febreze and Tide. We hope these P&G products will make an impact at our property, as it has for millions of Americans in multiple generations.

In respect to our continental breakfast, we do try to use quality name brand products such as Nutella, Philadelphia Cream Cheese, Smuckers, etc. I will contact our food provider to see why the packaging on the individual size portion of Nutella was easily being peeled open.

Carpet was so dirty, it turned my feet black, and left footprints in the tub; the ventilation system blew only cold air, so to warm the room, I had to open the patio door. Without the scented room freshener blowing from the unit you could smell the dirty odor of the carpet. The continental breakfast had stale breads and pastries, and the breakfast area was so small only one person at a time could get into the alcove where the food was. Will not be returning to this hotel, even though the location is perfect for my business needs.

Thank you for your review Paulette. We have taken measures to improve our property. In December 2013, we changed our nationally known cleanser provider to another well-known major commercial and household name, Proctor & Gamble. We have removed air fresheners to instead have the best known non-aerosol odor eliminator, Febreze.

We are also undergoing a room renovation with new carpet, new bedding, new wall covering/paint, new bathroom tile, and new laminate flooring in select rooms. This renovation has already begun, and should be completed in late Spring. We do hope that you will give us another shot when you are in town for business again. Thank you again.

Conveniently located adjacent to Hiway 101. Lots of places to eat nearby. Rooms were very nice and quiet. Breakfast was pretty disappointing, but OK. Very nice TV. Bed and pillows excellent. I would stay here again

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in mid October. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean and check in/check out was a breeze. There's plenty of restaurants and stores in the area (Target, Rite Aid, supermarkets, etc.). It's right near the highway and it was close to Topanga State Park which was awesome for hiking. The water pressure was excellent, usually hotels have horrible water pressure but this was actually better than my pressure at home. You definitely need a rental car but I've been to the LA area a few times and renting a car is a must. Free parking and wireless internet was nice. At night the area was very quiet which I also liked. My room was a little small but nothing to be upset about. Overall I had a good experience and would recommend the hotel. It looked as though some rooms had updated bathrooms, mine wasn't one of them but the bathroom was fine. My only annoyance was our remote didn't work.

Room Tip: The hotel was enclosed so it was pretty quiet. Our room was facing the parking lot and sometimes peo...

Room request was not honored, Carpet in room was filthy, resulting in everyone's feet and/or socks being as black as if they were barefoot in the parking lot. pool was unheated. no cribs available. This hotel is not kid friendly and is one of the poorest best western hotels we have ever stayed at.

My husband & I recently stayed here for 1 night on a stopover driving from Las Vegas to Santa Barbara. We choose the location due its closeness to the freeway and didn't want to have to drive into the centre of LA for one night as we know that the traffic is horrendous.

The hotel was easy to find and had plenty of facilities walking distance. There was a Starbucks, subway, chipotle, coffee bean etc right across the road, plus a pharmacy etc.

The room itself was motel style and although dated in decor (as are most West coast USA hotel chains) it was clean and provided everything we needed for the night. It even had a microwave which would be useful for some.

Breakfast was served in a small room by reception and was more than adequate. There was coffee, juices, bagels, waffles, cereal etc. We had breakfast early and we were able to get one of the limited seats available but it did get very crowded as we were leaving. However there is the option to take your breakfast back to your room.

Overall a decent stay for the night for the price paid. My only negative comment would be the reception staff who checked us in. They were not very helpful when we looked for advice on where to eat locally etc. He didn't seem to care at all and acted like we were being an inconvenience to him by asking. He did not point out any of the above food and beverage outlets across the road which we only found out ourselves.
