Beverly Laurel Motor Hotel
Ranked #93 of 355 Hotels in Los Angeles

I've stayed at this motel before (it's not a "hotel" of any kind), and it has been quieter, but this time around there were too many loud drunks arriving at 3am, too many little kids running down the hall in the early morning (and slipping and falling and crying and screaming).

I'm not sure there's a better deal to be had right in West Hollywood. he location is great, the onsite restaurant is pretty good, and the guy at the office (who seems like he's there 24/7) is professional and accommodating.

Rooms are basic motel rooms, clean and spare. anything extra you might want (wi-fi, parking) will cost you. If you need to be in that neighborhood, then as "just a place to sleep" the Beverly Laurel will do.

Tip: Use the free wi-fi at Swingers, the onsite restaurant.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the very top floor. It's possible drunks won't be able to make it up there...

Rooms: are clean. Have a nice bed. Bathroom very modern with 2showers
:::::: location: great very close to the grove, and all the nightclubs and attractions of melrose sunset beverly hills
::::::security: bad you can just walk straight in to the parking cellar and then you have direct access to the guestrooms and they all have huge windows facing the courtyard walkways. I must say it felt very unsafe indeed

BLM is a good decent hotel at convenient and safe neighbourhood. The double bedded room was clean, comfortable and spacious enough for 4 adults. Room equipped with kitchenette - fridge and microwave. No coffee / tea facilities and no wifi. Attached Swingers restaurant serves good priced food and has free wifi. Pool in the middle of the hotel courtyard. The hotel front desk staffs were all friendly, helpful and nice especislly Jeffrey. Coin operated laundrette just a few steps away near to crescent heights/beverly blvd junction. Public bus afew steps away from hotel. Buy metro stored value cards can be used in both metro buses and subway. Farmers market and the grove just a block away - 10 min walk. Loads of good food to eat and good shops, nordstrom, forever 21, michael kors, coach, barnes & noble, nike and apple store and cinena. Can buy froceries at traders joe and buy cheap stuff at kmart loxated opposite farmers market. Excellent location to travel by bus/metro to universal studio and hollywood blv - walk of fame, grauman chinese theatre.

One of the few in LA that allow pets for a charge. 60's feel. In need of a bit of updating. Room smelt of cleaning chemicals and carpet was damp with it for the 2 days I was there. Inner wing was quiet. Heard another customer complaining of noise in the night during check out and asking why she was not placed in the inner wing like before. Seems like Cedars Sinai outpatient visitors use the motel. Great location. Near 3rd Street Farmer's market. Good for couple of days stay.

My husband and I and another couple stayed in two king rooms for 3 nights. This is a good basic hotel which is clean and in a good location close to the Farmer's Market and the Grove and Swingers Diner next door.
Parking is $5 / day and is in the underground car park of the hotel, the bays are very small and access is not easy if you have a larger car.
Wi Fi is not free but Swingers next door does have free Wi Fi and AC.
The rooms are a good size with A big TV and small fridge, the beds are comfortable.
The bathrooms are large and newly renovated, lots of clean towels, shower takes a bit of getting used to.
The pool is a bonus after a hot LA day, clean and refreshing.
The Beverley Laurel is also close to many good cafe's and restaurants Cooks County Restaurant is across the road and has great food, Swingers next door very good for breakfast or a quick meal and has lovely coffee. The Farmers market has lots of restaurants and a band plays there most nights, great fun.
The Beverley Laurel makes a great base when in LA as long as you only want basic, clean accommodation with no frills, ask for a room on the upper level away from the road as it is quieter.
We would return when in LA.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the upper levels away from the road.

We got a king room here for 3 nights and found it perfect place to explore LA from. We hired a car and the parking was handy and cheap. Rooms are decent enough and the burger joint next door is open late and really handy. Perfect for an exploring couple or a group going to concert/event. Lookl elsewhere if you want to spend lots of time in your room as the place is dated and pool nothing special

I love this place. It's not fancy and it's lacking in some amenities, but for location and price and the touch of nostalgia, it's worth it. We stay here every time we travel to LA. Swingers, the 24hr retro cafe/diner is just downstairs. Farmer's Market and the Grove are in walking distance. 3rd Street is also a healthy stroll away where you can find a wide variety of restaurants and cafes. Joan's on Third and Little Next Door are recommended. King's Road Cafe is also just down Beverly.

Centrally located, the BLM is somewhat equidistant to most LA locations: downtown, Venice, Santa Monica, Pasadena. Yes, you have to drive to these locations. It's Los Angeles.

As for the Hotel, I guess there are certain things to which I've grown accustomed. Earplugs are often needed as the neighbors and diner can be noisy in the morning. We always stay on the 3rd floor toward the back. Avoid street side or you'll get lots of road noise. Shower needs a bit of love to get hot water, but it's there. Wifi and TV are available as are a fridge and micro, but I always bop down to Swingers and pick up coffee (get the red eye if you like it strong) and bagel.

Room Tip: stay on the upper level, away from the road. It's quiter. But bring earplugs just in case of e...
