Among the abundant Italian offerings on LA's Westside, we can always count on Palmeri to delight and satisfy. From the cheerful, and heartfelt, greeting at the door, to the fresh decor, and the "not too crowded" ambiance, you feel welcome and appreciated. The food is delicious, and varied - - not just pasta, fish and pizza but also pork, veal, beef, fowl and vegetarian. Everyone in our party could find something they liked. The service is attentive and graceful, never intrusive - - and the "basics," like keeping the glasses and bread basket replenished, are handled automatically and inconspicuously. The dining room is lively but never too noisy to carry on a pleasant conversation in a normal voice. There is outdoor seating, for those inclined to enjoy the lovely SoCal evenings and watch the activities on San Vicente and the nearby celebrity haunts. But we always sit indoors, to partake in the joy that exudes here.

We strolled by here on a Sat afternoon looking for a glass of wine took a seat at the bar. great food and wine. The best part was just watching the staff as they all spoke in Italian and in true fashion used more hand gestures than someone using sign language. We ended up staying a few extra glasses of wine just to enjoy the atmosphere. great spot would highly recommend

I had been wanting to try this restaurant for quite some time, but my other 2 favorite Italian restaurants are also in the same neighborhood. We took our chances, and popped into this restaurant on a Friday night and luckily got seated before the rush. The menu had many tempting options, all of which sounded absolutely delicious. We knew we were in the right place when the marinara dipping sauce with mozzarella was so wonderful to start us off. The very Italian staff put me right back into Italy, and the food was amazing. We tried two special pastas, one with spaghetti and mussels, and the other was their lasagna with bechamel sauce. Both were exquisitely prepared, and perfectly cooked. The corkage was high ($25/bottle) but typical in Brentwood, but everything else was worth it. The restaurant is small-ish, so reservations are important. They have a wonderful back wine room for a party of 8-10 people, that seems really nice and cozy. However, the rest of the restaurant is a little loud, but still charming. They have a valet service and a parking lot immediately behind the restaurant, as well as street parking if you can find it. I would definitely like to go back to this restaurant to try some other things on their menu.
