“Quick LA vacay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2014

We spent two nights in a Club level room while attending a Dodger game and spending a day at Universal Studios. Our room was large with a wonderful view. The staff were helpful and kind. The location is perfect for the amusement park and other LA activities. We were very disappointed in the breakfast onsite. We had passes for the breakfast and chose to upgrade to the full buffet. The omelet chef was not available for almost 10 minutes, and then the egg dishes had a strange taste. We chose not to eat at the hotel the second morning. We enjoyed our stay and would return again for a trip to Universal.

Fantastic for taking in the studio sights nearby.
The property was minutes away, via their frequent shuttles, from Universal Studios.
They gave outstanding value to our stay.
High floor room provided scenic view of immediate areas.
Be sure you keep the door latch on as staff will use key and enter if you don't.

Room Tip: Request high floor, views are breathtaking.

Green Features: The convenient transport to Universal Studios and City Walk were exceptional. No hassles.

This is a nice 4* hotel, well furnished and literally 5 minutes walk from Universal Studios. I stayed here for 2 days and the hotel staff were very helpful and polite. The hotel is a little dated but still clean, well apportioned rooms if you get an Alcove Room like I did, and has great views over Universal Studios.

Check in very nice. Pleasant staff. Room and bathroom was clean but carpet needs to be replaced. Elevators weren't as slow as I previously read. Our room was on the 20th floor and we never experienced a slow elevator or any kind of wait. Starbucks on site is a plus but bagels were stale. I'd stick to the blueberry muffins. Food in dining room was really good. This hotel is Convenient to Universal Studios. Metro at bottom of hill very convenient too. One stop to Hollywood Blvd. Overall, great stay!

Have stayed here many times and its always a good experience from the front desk where STUART GOMEZ always shows us how its done and it always attentive to all of our needs.
Through the years we have remembered his name and always recognize his hard work.
Employees like him make it worhtwhile and its one of the reasons we come back.
No aggravation No stress and easy all the way.

We recently stayed at this hotel and we had a great experience. The staff were great (from bellman, front desk, housekeeping and restaurant staff). The location is very convenient if you're main visit is Universal Studios. They have breakfast options. Their Friday and Saturday buffet is awesome. Real food and LOTS of options, though it won't hurt if they can add like pasta for kids. We had a great time! We were on the 19th floor and the view is amazing! Please note that you have to pay for parking. They also have a shuttle that goes to Universal and City Walk, but we walked most of the time. It's just a 5 minute walk from hotel to Universal. Also this hotel has FREE wifi!

Room Tip: We were on the 19th floor and we didn't have any problem.

Room was clean, but carpet is DIRTY!!! Beds was comfortable. Staff friendly but snail paced elevator--bathroom decent sized. Shuttle is very convenient. Our family mostly eat at the citywalk,--varies of food, but dinner at the hotel isn't so bad. Travel with small children, so we skip the buffet. Overall, like this hotel enough to come back again
