We like to stay at Hilton Hotels and this was the closest Hilton to Universal Studios. It did have a tram to take guest to the studio but the hours were not very convenient so we just walked. It was about a five minute walk, not bad at all. The hotel was doing some remodeling but it did not interfere with our stay. The room was nice and the bathroom was large. The only problem with the bathroom was the layout and the fact that there was nowhere to hang your towel close to the sink. The shower was great. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Universal Studios.

Unfortunately I stayed there 2 weeks ago for a 3 night business trip, and came home with 5 bug bites on both legs. I filled out a claim; however, I have yet to receive a response from anyone in management. Very disappointing as our company gives this Hilton a lot of business throughout the year.

Greeting Ms E D from Rogers,

Please accept my apologies for your discomfort and frustration. We take these items very serious and in every case of reported potential pest or bite we conduct a thorough inspection as well as have the room certified before allowing occupancy to the next guest. I am happy to report to you that we obtained a certified report from our professional pest service, IsoTech, confirming and verifying no presence of bed bugs or any pests found in the room you occupied during your visit with us. I am happy to provide this report to you showing this confirmation of room being pest free. Bed Bugs will never leave a room on their own, they must be aggressively eradicated. We just received this report last week and I apologize we delayed in reconfirming with you from our initial phone call upon your departure that there was no found pest issues in the room. We did have the room treated as a precaution for spiders, but the technician found no indication of any presence of any pest whatsoever. If I can be of further assistance please contact me for follow up.

Regards,
Mark

After our fantastic experience at the Hilton Anaheim we was let down by the Hilton Universal City, The Hotel looks great from the outside but very old fashioned from the inside, We are Hilton Honours guests so we went to the check in and was greeted by an unfriendly member of staff who didnt seem interested in anything we had to say also we wasnt asked if we wanted our bags taken to our room even though there was two bell staff who was talking amongst themselves which seemed to be with all the staff, I emailed the hotel regarding a room on a higher floor with a universal studios view which we got but the room was tiny and old fashioned.

Everytime we walked passed reception or any other member of staff, they didnt even say hello or have a smile on there face, and all seemed to be very grumpy, This Hotel has a great location which is quite close to Universal Studios and City Walk but nothing else,City Walk is very expensive for what it is and one evening we took a walk to see if there was anything else nearby, we took a walk down the very steep hill to a not a very welcoming area, so we walked straight back up the steep hill back to the hotel to get the car to drive to burbank which is quite confusing if you dont have gps.

There is better hotels out there and this hotel isnt in the best area and there isnt alot to do apart from Universal and City Walk so i would suggest to stay elsewhere, as this Hotel is very expensive for what you get!

Room Tip: ask for a room overlooking universal on a high floor but we wouldnt stay here again.

Hilton Universal City was our honeymoon's first hotel. After two flights and almost 20 hours on the roads (we came from Israel), we recieved an amazing service. Besides the free WiFi in the hotel lobby (for the first hour only), the receptionist upgraded our room floor (from a lower one to an uppre one). The view from there was great - Universal Studio. The hotel staff was very polite and helped us with everything, including sending us to another hotel a package (unharmed) that we forgot in our room. we would definitley go back to this hotel if we ever get to LA again.

Room Tip: Ask from the reception an upper room with a view to universal studios.

After three weeks on the road LA was our final destination and the Hilton fitted the bill well. Good hotel within an easy walk to Universal Studios and Citywalk. Hotel was easy to check into and efficient. We had a corner room which was a good size, above average compared to some other Hiltons.

The buffet breakfast was reasonably priced and provided a good variety. The Cafe/bar food was also pretty good.

The tour desk staff were great. Friendly, efficient and helpful. The tour suggested was pretty good and the ride to Hollywood quick along the 101.

Overall, a good experience in a good hotel. A relaxing end to our US trip.

Room Tip: Higher floor and a corner room which is larger.
