I made a reservation online advising them I would be arriving early and they said that rooms were available from 9am if not earlier, since I was planning to leave at 11am I just wanted a quick shower and lie down. I got the shuttle over and was told that no rooms were available until 930/10am and they were only available at 9am if they weren't full the night before even though I had emailed and booked then called and spoke to them to get the shuttle they didn't mention this. I said I would just get the shuttle back but they said that I couldn't get it because I wasn't a guest at the hotel and would have to get a taxi, they finally let me take the shuttle back (after quite a bit of arguing and tears - since i had just been on a 15hr flight and was tired)! They should have told me when I called or in the emails that it wouldn't be ready until later and I wouldn't have wasted my time and money to get another luggage cart!

Since the goal of our staff is to relieve the stress of travel, the situation experienced with this guest is regrettable. Day rate rooms are available for check-in generally prior to 9 a.m. Rarely but can occur there may be a wait of 30 minutes to be registered in a room. Ninety-five percent of our day rate guests are waiting for late departing flights. Consequently, the guest's short stay of 2 hours did not register with the hotel's phone operator. The 30 minute delay in having a room available reduced the time to 1 1/2 hours. The staff person who was on duty at the time of the incident has been counseled that even though an arriving traveler does not have a reservation and the accommodations for whatever reason does not satisfy their lodging needs, we will shuttle them back to the airport at no charge.

Stayed for two nights while exploring LA. We knew that it would be noisy as it practically overlooks the runway - Century Blvd runs parallel to the airport! The room was however clean and comfy with a balcony overlooking the pool. We didn't expect too much from an airport hotel, and it was only meant to be a quick overnight place to sleep. The kids did make use of the pool which was a good size. Although the breakfast was included, it could be drastically improved. It was really hectic as the time was limited that it was available. The breakfast room was small and cramped and the queue for the 'make your own' waffle machine was crazy. Overall a good stopover for the price.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the inside and not overlooking Century Blvd and the runway!

Thank you for submitting your review. The staff and management are always pleased to learn that a guest is surprised by the quality of the hotel in light of the moderate room rates and the 2 to 3 star rating.
The definition of a continental breakfast can be misunderstood. We have a Denny's Restaurant that adjoins the hotel and provides a full breakfast menu...kitchen prepared selections. A continental breakfast is not a full service breakfast--we are not licensed to serve restaurant style food. We have two waffle machines and a pancake maker. As in a full service restaurant and in our continental breakfast "restaurant" you may have to wait a few minutes for one of the machines to be available. Other menu items include sausages, bagels, yogurt, 3 choices of fruit juices, fresh fruit, toast, choice of hot or cold cereal, cream cheese, etc. etc.--a complimentary amenity. The seating area accommodates 55 with outside seating in the garden and pool area. Regrettably the need to "drastically improve" our continently breakfast service is not feasible within the definition of a continental breakfast both for menu items and meeting city food service code requirements.

6 of us stayed in 2 connecting rooms (4A, 2C) we stayed here for 8 hours between flights after flying from Australia. Perfect hotel for our needs. Free shuttle from the airport. Very clean room with comfortable beds. GREAT shower with a powerful shower head, our bathroom also had a bath which was great for the kids (the connecting room didn't so request one if required). Denny's is right next door for something to eat. If we ever have a long layover at LAX again I would definately stay here again.

The best accolade a staff and management can receive is to know that a guest would return to stay with us again. Thank you for your review. Yes, the Denny's Restaurant that adjoins the hotel is definitely a plus for our guests.

I email enquired when luggage storeage was comparable to booking a hotel and Lance's reply was immediate and friendly with the great day rates offer. We booked for our arrival from Australia and departure home (day stopovers).
We had an older front room on arrival and a larger newer room at the rear on our departure. Whilst not the most glamourous hotel, it was clean and comfortable and was all we needed to store our luggage, relax and shower.
The free shuttle to and from the airport was great and having Denny's next door was fantastic (great meals, cheap prices and fantastic service). The kids would've loved to use the pool, however we didn't want to travel with wet clothing.
The staff were friendly and helpful and arranged a wonderful limo driver to take us to and from Hollywood. The public buses stop close by (for $1/person we went to Santa Monica).
I would have no hesitation in recommending or staying again. Obviously don't expect the Ritz, but it's a clean, comfy and convenient place close to the airport and the staff are wonderful.

Room Tip: The back rooms seem newer and nicer (and would be quieter away from the pool), however are further t...

The staff and management always appreciate hearing from a guest that they enjoyed their stay with us. The day room rate is a popular option for travelers transitioning through the airport--much better enjoying a day in Los Angeles rather than sitting in a terminal waiting area for a late departing flight. The success of any business is largely due to a staff that is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The limo tours are great and we do have available three outstanding drivers. The metro bus is only a $1 and the pick-up site is a 2 minute walk from the hotel lobby.
Check in time for a day rate is 10 a.m.; however, if you arrive early and a room is not available from the previous night, you can have a continental breakfast--waffle, pancake, bagel, fruit, juices, sausage, yogurt, etc. Also, if you have a midnight flight, the hotel provides the opportunity to extended your check out time to 9 p.m.
You want to check-up on emails or obtain a boarding pass, there is a guest computer center in the lobby that is free.

After hours of traveling from Australia we just wanted a comfy bed and we got 1.. Pillows were also comfy..Shower was great. Room was clean.. Our room was at the back of the hotel so a bit of a walk with all our bags. But it was quiet and dark. On the downside we waited and waited for the free shuttle that didn't show up. A lovely man pulled up after seeing us standing there for a long time and said he'd take us to our hotel.. For $99 a night it was all we needed..

Thank you for submitting a review of your recent stay. Frustrating for our guests and staff is to identify a way in which anyone making a reservation knows they have to call the hotel for the shuttle service. We are a small hotel and provided permits for only two vans by LAWA. The LAX kiosk phone service is going through contract hurtles and phone service to the hotel is no longer available. International travelers may not be able to use their cell phones to call the hotel for the shuttle service. However, the Traveler Aides booths in each terminal has volunteers who will assist; also there are pay phones for which no coins are needed if you are calling an 800 number -- 800 421-3939.
We were pleased to learn that you enjoyed your stay with us.

Oh lord...where do I begin? It is the dingiest of the dingy. The guest parking lot is gated - you can barely get in and out of there. Noisy. Not very clean. Most of the rooms are right off the main road so you can hear cars whizzing by. $99 a night? No thanks...but I had no other choice, no other hotels were available.

Regrettably the rare guest arrives for whom we cannot do anything right. Gated parking becomes a complaint which 99% of our guest value. "Dingy" -- obviously he arrived late without a reservation -- tired -- frustrated -- so as soon as he had to entered the secure gated parking area literally everything was done hill. What I personally find unfortunate is when a guest's personal stress contaminates his review...taking no responsibility for its accuracy and using the venue to vent his own irritations. Yes, due to our close proximity to the lax terminals, there can be street noise.

So after a 20 hour journey from London to LA all you need is a shower and a bed. This is much better than that. The rooms are a little old but very clean and the beds are extremely comfy, the pillows are nice and firm (not those horrible things that wrap around your head and suffocate you) There's a nice little pool and on check in we asked for a room change that was done immediately. Free parking and a Deny's with a small bar for a beer attached right next door and this is a perfect stop for a post or pre flight rest.

Room Tip: We moved to a room in the rear building and slept the sleep of the just.

Thank you for submitting a review of your recent stay with us. Our goal is to provide a unique fifites lodging experience while within 3 minutes of the airport terminals. We strive to provide upgrade room amenities and several free services...the newest being the guest computer center in the lobby where for no charge our patrons can obtain boarding passes, emails, and print travel data.
The 24 hr. Denny's Restaurant/Lounge that adjoins the hotel is a popular eating option for our guests.
