A hotel with a wonderful history - lots of Oscar links and a whole list of movies which have been partly shot here- for example- the beautiful lobby and ballroom in Ghost Busters.
Staff are very helpful.
Shop is very expensive and closes inconveniently. Restaurants are ok but nothing to write home about.
Great French bakery next door.
A fabulous base for an LA adventure- good downtown location and quick access to the main highways.

If you want to stay in central down town L.A. this hotel is ideal. Standard rooms are large and come with the type of amenities you'd expect from this type of hotel. Hotel has some beautiful features and I found the staff very helpful. Valour parking is very expensive here, though there are a few reasonable parking places near by. The Thai restaurant next door to the hotel is amazing, food is delicious and reasonably priced for L.A.. Overall decent place to stay for a couple of nights.

Not recommended for down to earth couples....in all honesty it's smack bang in the financial quarter.. valet parking $31-45 a day. Pershing Park is $17 a day but I wouldn't bother with a car. Metro line and buses are easy accessible. I wouldn't drive into central London and drive around. You'd use the underground.
Anyway to get back to the hotel.....check in was rude. Had twin beds and were told well me and my wife have twin beds....we were like we'll we are not you and it's our honeymoon... the beds are hard as got to be our worst night sleep... loud and noisy in the corridors.
Used the indoor pool and Jacuzzi but chemical levels are so high it bleached my bikini...we got some money off our bill. Well we are checking out today.....hello Monterey

We stayed at the hotel whilst attending a SRF Convocation. We found the staff very accommodating with their help and advice, especially Nancy on the front desk.
This classic style hotel was comfortable and had good amenities. Food and refreshments pricing was somewhat more expensive than outside retailers so we didn't use the restaurant for breakfasts.
The housekeeping staff were friendly, courteous and helpful.
The bathroom layout could be better. There was only one comfy chair in the room. It seemed difficult to set the room a/c temperature without getting cold air blasted.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Biltmore to others that had preferences for a non-budget hotel.

Room tip: The higher floor rooms seem to be quieter. For those insensitive to noise an outward facing room would provide more interesting views.

We stayed here while attending the National Science Teachers Association Conference. Everything was beautiful! The rooms were lovely and comfy. They offer a continental breakfast but it isn't just sweet rolls. There was fruit, granola, boiled eggs and more. The history of the hotel was fascinating as well- it once hosted the Academy Awards and was also said to be the last place the Black Dahlia was seen before being murdered. The staff gave great tips on where to go for dinner, cocktails, etc. During our stay there was a society wedding (we couldn't see who) and for a few hours, a tv show was shooting a scene on one side in the street. Great places to eat for all budgets within walking distance.
