The hotel is gorgeous, particularly the lobbies and ballrooms. There is city noise (cars, sirens, etc.), but that's to be expected in Downtown. We were on the 7th floor partially-facing Pershing square. The room was a good size and had a little dressing area between the room and the bathroom (gave us a little more space, since we were traveling with small children and their gear). The carpets in the room were kind of dirty. My son was walking around in their barefoot and by the evening the soles of his feet were black. The AC seems a bit out of date or not strong enough. The staff (front desk, bellmen, valet, etc.) were friendly and helpful. They seem to enjoy working there. Considering how elegant the hotel is, I was surprised by how family-friendly the staff was. We were at the hotel for a wedding and the food was amazing!!!

Bottom line: Pleasantly surprised by the service.

Room Tip: I saw the club level rooms on the 10th and 11th floor. They are very nice as far as decor and furni...

I stayed at the Millennium Biltmore for one evening and thought it was fabulous. Some reviews claim that it needs to be updated but the decor is part of it's retro charm. Staff was friendly, room was clean and the lobby area was gorgeous. I'd be devastated if the renovated. Good place!

Loved this hotel ' where ghostbusters was filmed. Glamorous and very posh lobby. Rooms were not that posh but were very comfortable. Pool and fitness area is also beautiful. About 25mins from most attractions by train. not much to see around the hotel but is only 1 stop away from universal studios. no fridge in room but ice is available and you can rent a fridge from $10 a day.

My boyfriend and I were seeing a concert at Staples Center and decided to spend the night up in LA at the Biltmore. So glad we did. Whene we pulled in the valet were very quick and helpful. We only had 2 small bags and almost felt bad for using them. The lobby was beautiful. We had lunch in the hotel and proceeded to check in. Very smooth process even with a problem with the reservation (travel company had spelled myy name wrong). We then proceed to our room. I had read some of the reviews saying the hotel was run down etc.. and is some places it is showing its age. There were a few places in the hallway were there was tape on the carpet and there were a few chips in the sink but this hotel was built in 1923. I thought it somewhat added to the charm of staying here. The room was super clean with a flat screen TV. Very comfortable bed and nice linens. We slept very well, The next morning we had room service. It was swered hot and on time. The eggs benedict were some of the best I ever had. All in all I would stay at the bilmore anytime i am in LA

Very ornate hotel with lavish fixtures and fittings but some floors are in need of updating so our room was average if not poor. There are lots of homeless people in downtown LA which you may find distressing

Stayed at the Millennium in Los Angeles for 6 nights at the beginning of June. The rooms are big and clean, the staff friendly and helpful. Location is good for both the tube and buses. However, do not order anything from the bar as very expensive: I paid $19.58 + $2 tip for one measure of Courvoisier. Ouch! Other than that, we had a lovely stay and will book here again next time we go to LA.
