Both me and my parents stayed for one night at the Omni at the start of our around the world trip, and it was a perfect start. Beautifully spacious and well equipped rooms and wonderfully comfortable beds - perfect after a long flight. Our room even had a view, although distant, of the Hollywood sign.

The staff were helpful and the breakfast was delicious. We booked online and shopped around to get a real bargain.

The hotel did seem mainly used by business people but that was to be expected with its location. The hotel is set in a pretty coutyard where there are several places to call in for a snack.

We found getting a cab between three of us cheaper than most other forms of airport to hotel transportation.

Would highly recommend it!

We stayed at the omni for one night. It took us about 1.5 hours to get from a relatively close location to there. not that that was unexpected, because the hotel is downtown. however, it was kind of a drag. the hotel is also not in the nicest area of town. It is not a terrible section of the city, but not a great one either. The hotel's lobby is not very welcoming. Having said all of that, the room was very nice. it was quite large and had a tub and shower in the bathroom. The beds were extremely comfortable. The 2 restaurants were very nice, as was the outdoor pool. The hotel also offers a towncar service, which can become useful, although it will only go to locations within a short distance. The front desk was fairly helpfull. Overall, mainly because of the very nice rooms, a nice night's stay. if you are looking for a charming hotel; this isnt it. however, if you are looking for a nice, quiet, comfortable place to sleep downtown, this may be your hotel.

Beautiful hotel. I traveled with my family but for work. Rooms were clean, large and very well decorated. Comfortable beds too. The location stinks on weekend because there is no place to eat but the hotel and it can get pricey. I followed a tip I saw on Trip Advisor and joined the Omni's Select club (free) and got upgraded to the club floor which has a lounge with drinks and food.

I stayed here for a conference recently and was very impressed with both the rooms and the facilities. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the bathrooms were especially large, with nice amenities. The conference facilities were great and so was the food served and the service. My favorite part was the free Starbucks coffee in the 3rd floor restaurant--I hate roaming a strange city at 6 a.m. trying to find the coffee I so desperately need! The gym was above average and the pool was smallish but nice. There were a few things that seemed to be needing some attention, like missing faucet handles here and there, etc., but generally it was great. The beds were the best part--really a great night of sleep.

I read many reviews about the Omni Hotel Los Angeles and most had nothing but great things to say about this property. Perhaps my expectations were set too high because my experience did not mirror that which others encountered. Here are the issues I found: Hotel staff not at all knowledeable about the area around the hotel (e.g. - restaurants, parking issues, etc) and they appeared minimally interested in helping me out. The rooms were adequate but nothing spectacular as I had expected from other reviews. The pool area had NO spa and the towels were not kept stocked adequately during my stay. One MAJOR issue I must make all aware of: parking is a joke! VERY expensive: $26.00 a day (valet) and if your into tipping everytime you have to get your car, then well hats off to you.. I'm not into that and it was quite costly during my stay. Parking around the hotel is not recommended due to the reported car thefts and burglaries in the area by hotel staff. I also didn't see any security on site at the hotel during my stay (at least they were not visible). Overall, the hotel is adequate but nothing remarkable and in my opinion this is not a 4 star property.

The Omni looks and feels a lot like a hotel which was flash in its day - unfortunately that day has passed. Not that it isn't perfectly ok, just some of it is a bit overblown for the standard of the hotel - eg the 10 bellmen mingling around all desperately trying to help you to earn a tip becomes a bit tiring. But thats coming from a New Zealander not used to that sort of thing so it might be perfectly normal.

Other than that the staff were friendly, room service prompt, the room was comfortable and the bed was huuuuge, and the location is ideal for exploring around the MOCA and Disney concert hall, and downtown.

A warning to NZers (and others) trying avoid staying in Anaheim, and have this place recommended to you by a travel agent (like we were). This is ok for a night, but beyond that it is quite restrictive as the nightlife is dead, even restaurants are hard to get to. Pay the extra money and stay in Hollywood or Santa Monica.

Wow - we had read the reviews and were ready for a nice stay - and we got it. The service is absolutely amazing. We tried to check in early, but there were no rooms available (understandably). When we came back over two hours later, the front desk greeted us by name and had everything ready for us. The concierge also performed admirably time and time again - with unique requests such as a tuxedo rental and dress alterations.

The beds are fantastic, I wanted to bring one home with me. A luxury hotel would offer nicer amenities, but this is top notch for the price.

Valet parking was expensive, but do join their frequest stay club - a hot pot of coffee delivered to your door each morning is a treat.

Location is central - while there are not a lot of dining choices nearby, it's expected that you'll drive everywhere anyway - it's LA!
