Huge room, immaculate, friendly service, free wifi (when you join the free hotel membership), great views, nice location. Downtown Los Angeles is a trip. The scale enormous and spread out. Not very comfortable for single woman in the off-hours. That said, the Omni was a luscious escape. Just a solid hotel for comfortable sleep and work. Stayed downtown for a conference. Pretty far to the convention center - adding extra travel for a good cup of coffee meant 45 min walk, but the weather was perfect.
Room was extremely comfortable. Great bed, an operable window(!) that was perfect for cool spring evenings, with a neat view of the Disney hall and adjacent contemporary art museum with mountains in the background. Had a nice meal and drinks in the restaurant bar on site. Close to lots of great sights and the Metro.
I researched a lot of options before booking the Omni and don't regret my choice. Other hotels nearer my conference were in less dynamic locations and even further away from the great haunts of Little Tokyo and Spring Street.More
