“Great Location and Stay”

Perfect Location - Staple Center is a block away from the entrance with a great restaurants all around. The hotel has just opened a new bar on the second floor overlooking City Center...great space to have drinks or dinner. I would without a doubt stay at the Luxe next time in LA.

We had a great time. We were there visiting for the Breeders Cup races. The service and value were all great. I'd very much encourage anyone in the LA area to consider using this hotel for their stay.

Great experience, wonderful customer service! Walking distance (right across the street) to Staples Center and Lucky Strike as well as good restaurants and bars! We had a wonderful time staying here while flying in to go to the Lakers game. Only thing I wish would have been different is if you get a room with 2 beds that they would have been Queens verses Double beds. Otherwise not one complaint, Loved it!

I unexpectedly had to travel to LA for work and needed to be close to both the Staples Center/Los Angeles Convention Center. I tried to book a room at some of the 'fancier' hotels that are close to both properties and they either had nothing available or not at a rate I was willing for my company to pay.
A local colleague suggested that I look to see if the Luxe had any rooms available and WOW am I glad! The hotel is close to both of the venues - but I've stayed at properties before that are conveniently located and seriously lacked in many (every) other area. This hotel, however, was not only close/convenient but it was *very* clean, decorated nicely, the restaurant/bar on the 2nd floor is awesome and hip and fun - and overall, it was just a gem of a hotel.

While all of those things are great and should be expected in a hotel, what you don't always get is one of the best and most friendly hotel staff I have ever dealt with. I had an issue with the lock on my hotel room door (it wouldn't always work). It started when I checked in and happened sporadically during the rest of my 7 day stay. It really was not a big deal to me AT ALL - but each time I had to go back down to the desk, they were so incredibly accommodating, very apologetic and wanted to know what they could do. Since it only happened sporadically, I think we all kept thinking it was the keys. However, on the last day of my stay, after the third trip down to the desk to get/try new keys which still didn't work, they called maintenance who had to use a super special master key to finally get it to open and it was then that they realized it was probably the sensor within the door/lock was bad and needed to be changed.

The maintenance guy was AWESOME. Apologized a number of times, asked if he could do anything, asked if I wanted to switch rooms, asked if I wanted/needed a refrigerator, etc. I reassured him that everybody had been so fabulous that it almost made me NOT want to worry about it b/c it only emphasized how terrific the staff was, which I think is what will make this property be such a success.

I travel all of the time and would welcome the chance to recommend this place to anybody as well as return there the next time I am back in the area.

Room Tip: If you are a smoker, request a room at the end of the hall, where there is a little balcony where yo...

What a nice place to stay for the LA Rock n Roll marathon. just a few steps away from the start line. Although the evening before, people were out on the streets until 2am making noise, the hotel itself was very nice. Everything was clean, stylish, and the staff very friendly. I would definitely stay there again!

Stayed for just one night as I was in LA for a Lakers game. The location of the hotel was absolutely perfect for this - literally just had to walk 100m and cross the road and I was at Staples Center.

The hotel was nothing spectacular - especially compared to the flash JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton across the road - but it was clean and well presented, and was nearly half the price of those. I believe it had recently been renovated and re-branded when I was there, and it just felt a little disjointed and cold. Fancy modern designs and artwork had been slapped around the place but nothing really matched, the staff were fine but didn't go out of their way for you, and the only view was of a back alley and a dingy parking lot. For what it was, it felt just a touch expensive. Having said all that, the room was fine - reasonably spacious - and the bed was comfortable.

Secure parking cost extra, but this was cancelled out by the free wireless.

Probably still the best option if you want to stay somewhere close to the Staples Center, Convention Center or Nokia Theatre/LA Live, but don't want to shell out $400+ for a room over the road.

I stayed here while attending a conference at the Convention Center, which is an easy 2 block walk from the hotel. Across the street there are several great restaurant options, as well as my personal necessity; Starbucks. The hotel itself is stylishly appointed and comfortable. All the staff I encountered were very friendly and eager to be helpful. Overall, this was a lovely place to stay and I would gladly return.
