Both my husband and i stayed here from 30th October 2013 til 7th November 2013.

- Room is basic with microwave, fridge and TV and most importantly clean
- Bed is super comfy
- There is some kind of weird smell that probably is from the cleaning stuff they use. Not a bad thing though.
- Bathroom and room is clean
- Microwave and fridge worked perfectly fine
- Parking space quite limited
- Self service laundry
- Breakfast is basic
- Helpful staffs
- Great location

We don't mind staying here again...

Room Tip: Get room 275.

I write this review while I am still here for my last night. This is the worst hotel of my life. Noisy fridge, noisy air, noisy room. Poor pool, the worst breakfast ever served even in a charity association. The only thing which works is the wifi. Dont trust the soda vending machines. They are broken.

The Travelodge Hollyood-Vermont/Sunset is right across the street from a hospital and a medical center. So it isn't surprising that there is quite a bit of ambulance traffic on Vermont Street, in front of the hotel. However, we were given the room that is located above and behind the front desk (Room 247, IIRC) - right on Vermont Street. As soon as we got into the room, we could hear how much traffic noise there was going to be. I immediately went to the front desk and politely asked to be relocated, but the only available room was a smoking room, so we declined. Needless to say, we didn't get much sleep.
The room itself was a bit grungy, with stains on the walls and dated furnishings. The beds were comfortable, though, and the room did have a coffeemaker and a refrigerator.

Room Tip: Get a room away from the street!!

Stayed here for a week on a vacation from London. Found this motel and was a bit worried looking at the photos. I was surprised when I got here at how nice it was. The rooms are a nice size clean and come with a big fridge and coffee maker. Was very pleased

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days, left for Vegas, and again then a further 3 days. The first room we had (275) was on the second floor, on the corner, nice big bed, clean, and with loads of space. There was an odd smell in the room which we assumed was the chemicals/air freshener they used when cleaning, but we'd rather they didn't as it wasn't nice.

The second room we had (257) was not as pleasant unfortunately. A random table placed in the room took up too much space, we had to move it ourselves to be able to get into bed. This time the bed was not as big, and on the first night there was a cockroach in the bath! We kept the plugs in for the rest of the trip and no more little critters came to visit.

I would stay there again despite the crappy room we had the second time, but this time I would ensure I asked for a top floor corner room when booking as they seem to be a little better and bug free!

If you're planning on a quick visit, want to be local to transport links, and are on a budget, then this place is perfect.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the second floor, preferably an end room.

On first impressions, we were a little apprehensive of staying here because of the location. However, the room was clean, spacious although quite dated. Breakfast was complimentary and provided fruit as an option which was a nice change from the usual muffins and cake.
I personally wouldn't recommend walking about by the hotel at night, but it's fine in the day.
If you plan on having somewhere cheap to rest you head at night that's clean and that's it, then this is your hotel.
It would be a long walk to the Chinese theatre / walk of fame, but takes about 15 minutes in the car. It's about 10 minutes (by car) to the Griffiths Conservatory and well worth the trip!
Just a tip also, the motel wouldn't accept payment with a foreign currency card (as it has no name on it) but was happy to accept cash?! This doesn't make any sense, but worth noting if like many overseas travellers you plan to use a prepaid currency card.
