We stayed here for one night on 10/31/11. The check-in process was very quick, and the staff was friendly. One of the biggest perks of this location is the FREE parking. This is a rare find in LA, and very much appreciated. You can't beat the location. In close proximity to a variety of places to see in LA. If you're the walking type....many places to get to by foot. If you feel like venturing further, the subway is a close walk as well. We decided to take the car to West Hollywood for the Halloween Carnival. Aside from the regular "LA" traffic, it was a quick ride. Upon returning later that evening, there were plenty of parking spaces still available.
The morning we departed we decided to hike/run Runyon Canyon. The hotel staff was kind enough to give us a late check-out. So after we hiked, we were able to return and shower. We really appreciated their flexibility.
The rooms were clean. The usual wear and tear, but nothing gross. We had a room at the farthest end from the street so noise wasn't a problem. Shower worked nicely, and the fridge/microwave were nice to have available.
This hotel has pretty much all the things you need when staying in Hollywood. Proximity to attractions (very close to Universal Studios, Hollywood Bowl, Hollywood Blvd), the FREE Parking is a big deal (trust me), and a clean place to stay while exploring LA. I have also stayed at the Days Inn on Sunset Blvd and would prefer this Best Western. Cleaner, and smells much better. Plenty of options to eat at nearby as well. There are also CVS/Fresh and Easy stores nearby so if you want to stock your fridge. I would definitely stay here....and hopefully will be sooner than later. Enjoy!

Room Tip: If you can stay further from the street, traffic noise isn't a problem.

We stayed here 2 nights and besides the microwave oven not working the room was clean. The aircon is noisy and blows into the curtains. What this place has going for it is good parking and an absolutely great location..timed 7minutes to the blvd. Also pretty cheap.Staff at the counter were good.

Room Tip: stay on the top levels if you can. Check appliances for proper operation.

This hotel is real close to the Kodak Theater and Hollywood Boulevard - within walking distance. There are good places to eat in the mall that faces Hollywood Blvd. With our rental car, we easily got to CBS studios for The Price is Right and to Sony Studios for Wheel of Fortune. The hotel was quiet and clean.

The hotel was okay, especially for the price. Little old looking in the room, needs some upgrading with the furniture and painting or at least it did in the room we stayed in . We had to complain twice about noisy teens that were staying above us and across from us, not sure anything was done as the noise continued until we left. The maids need to pay a little more attention to detail as on our 2nd to last day I had to stir my coffee with the end of my toothbrush as they didn't replenish coffee stir sticks in the room, then on our last morning I discovered they did not replenish coffee, cream, sugar or stir sticks. I did mention this to the Manager on duty as well as mentioned they need to steam clean their carpets as my socks would get very black everyday. Manager just said "sorry". The front desk people were okay but not very knowlegable and not overly friendly. I won't stay there again, will spend the extra money and go to a Hampton Inn next time which also includes breakfast.

I stayed here for 2 nights in September 2011. The hotel is in an excellent location, with Hollywood Boulevard, and the Kodak and Graumann theatres about 10 minutes walk. Although it is close to those areas, the hotel itself is fairly quiet. The rooms are fairly small, but have all the essentials and are clean. There is also free parking, which is a large bonus if you do happen to be driving and there is also a pool located at the back of the complex. The only downside to this hotel is the fact you have to pay extra for breakfast. I found it far cheaper to pick up something on the go from a nearby shop/bakery. I would recommend this hotel for a first trip to LA. If I were to go again, I think I would choose to stay in Beverley Hills, as for all but the central section of Hollywood Boulevard, in my opinion, the area has seen better days.

Last nights of a 5 week trip to Canada and the US. Nice staff, great little restaurant, well located, very close to Hollywood Bowl and a 5 minute walk to Hollywood Blvde. Agree the aircon unit is VERY loud and is placed so it blows cold air up behind the curtain and not much gets into the room. Still would stay there again and were very happy with our decision to stay in Hollywood and NOT LA Downtown.

Room Tip: Get a room away from the road front as that road is very noisy.

Stayed at the BW Hollywood Plaza Inn recently whilst visting family living nearby. Had stayed in the same hotel a few years back; have to say that would really recommend to anybody to stay here as the staff service levels have really improved and they went the extra mile to ensure that we were very comfortable. Keep up the good work and will be coming back definelty.
