Old and charming hotel in Beverly Hills brings you back to the iconic days of the movie industry. Think Rita Hayward, Clark Gable, or Marilyn Monroe whose's sculpture welcomes guests at the front door. But oops, somebody forgot to upgrade the air conditioner. The one in my room (911) is likely to be a relic of the golden era as well. I could close my eyes and dream of Vietnam war movies with the helicopters over one's head. Remember the opening scene in Apocalypse Now? The noise was so loud that I could not even hear myself thinking!
To be fair, everything else was great. I had some laps in the lovely swimming pool, exercised in the good, but small gym, ate breakfast in the classy restaurant, and my room was quite spacious. The bed was somewhat old fashioned, like the air conditioner, with a mattress that doesn't give you much back support. Overall, I voice my complaints because one expects perfection from a Four Season, so I hope management fixes these problems so that guests can have a perfect experience in this expensive hotel. More
