“Comfortable Style”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

We stayed here 2 nights in a king suite with a sofa bed for our daughter. It was comfortable with 2 bathrooms and a small balcony. I was looking forward to something really exceptional and it's sad to say the hotel did not make that grade. Having said that, the food and service at the restaurant, La Culina, were wonderful. By far the best touch was the excellent limo service provided by resident hotel driver, Nelson. Nothing was too much trouble. When we called after finishing our shopping he was right there within 10 minutes. LA can be difficult transport wise sometimes so this service was great.

The location cannot be beaten if you're after a central spot to shop and dine. A car in summer is a good idea particularly if you have children in tow as we did. The hotel does offer a lift to most places close by if you don't want the added expense.
The service is also top notch no matter who you are and the staff were always friendly and welcoming. Culina, the restaurant at the hotel was fantastic with great outdoor seating and very attentive service. The rooms were lovely but not well appointed with no tea/coffee making facilities, plates or cutlery if you chose to have a night in, which in a suite is very poor. The rooms of which we saw both the standard and the superior were also not large by hotel room standards but the balcony views from the upper levels were amazing. The room service menu was also not overly extensive for such a superior hotel. The pool was a real hit with the menu fantastic for lunches or early dinners that can easily be shared by two adults.
Overall we had a great stay and our toddler was welcomed wherever he went in the hotel. After staying at the Four Seasons in Hong Kong though, there is certainly room for improvement in a few areas if I was being fussy.

Room Tip: The rooms on the upper levels with views over LA were fantastic and enabled us to see the 4th of Jul...

I stayed here for work related reason, and after a long day, it was a wonderful place to relax. I will normally asked for room service and the food was great specially from the Italian Culina restaurant. In the morning the "Green Goddess" juice it's a must for your system. The rooms are cozy and up to date. They even offer an iPad. The shoe shine courtesy offered overnight it is a wonderful convenience. The pool, spa, and gym are very nice. If you like running, they even provide with a local map of suggested routes: the neighborhood is hilly but beautiful! The valet people are very courteous and helpful. The flowers arrangements throughout the hotel are beautiful. Staying above the floors from the Culina restaurant may be loud on some night. I have only good memories from my stay at this location.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at this lovely hotel
Rooms had been updated since my last stay
As a frequent Four Seasons guest and my 3 rd visit to this particular property
I surprised I was not offered a room upgrade as normally has been the case
In the past. When I asked at check in I was offered but would have to pay for the upgrade
I politely declined. Hotel was only 60 percent full during my visit.

Entertained a client at Culina and had delicious meal
Gym is lovely and all equipment is new state of the art

Staff are courteous and helpful
Rooms immaculate
Location is convenient and in a rather residential neighborhood

Will most likely stay again as it is perfect for getting to my clients and necessary
Job sites

Room Tip: East facing rooms less desirable as they look on to vacant apartment buildings

Overall this is a nice hotel though there are better in Beverly Hills. My word of caution to future guests is to not book a room facing East. The hotel runs machines/vents - equipment all through the night causing a loud humming and factory like sounds. As a result you cannot open your windows to enjoy the balcony. You need more than ear plugs to deafen the unending and disturbing noise emanating from the street below. I don't understand why this aggravating noise hasn't been noticed by management and why they haven't considered the impact it would have on guests staying in the East facing rooms. It's a terrible oversight on their part. Turn the darn machines/vents off. People need to sleep and they need to feel that they're not staying in a hotel located in an industrial district. This was not the Four Seasons experience that I was hoping for.

Room Tip: Don't book the East facing rooms - too much noise from hotel machinery.

Stayed in the four seasons for a week at the end of May with my daughter. We had a fabulous holiday and would recommed this hotel to everyone. The rolls royce drop off and pick up service was wonderful and the drivers were all lovely to us. The pool staff were also amazing and nothing was ever too much trouble. In Culina the food was amazing and the staff were welcoming, they thought of everything. Absolutely no complaints in any department. Scotland is a bit of a distance but if I ever return to LA it will definately be the four seasons.
