Sort of a European modern hotel, in a location very convenient to LA Live. It was clean, with "techno lighting" which I'm not a fan of. There is a $12 daily fee for "FREE Wifi, water, newspaper (which I never saw), Golds Gym (I didn't like the idea of walking around that neighborhood at 5 am), free continental breakfast (a few sweet rolls, bagels, generic tea, coffee...no water, no servers so dirty plates were left behind), free local calling. Rooms were more form than function. Bad lighting in the bathroom; no kleenex, hand-held shower that was VERY difficult to use; air conditioning that was either on or off (you couldn't regulate the temp), small fitness room that actually wasn't too bad but pretty tight and no light weights, only a few machines. View from my room was a cinderblock wall. Not really a BAD place; very friendly staff and knowledgeable about the area but not my style. Probably better geared to a younger set.
