I found this great BBQ restaurant on YELP, 4 stars with over 1100 reviews. Now, that's saying something. It's a little hole in the wall restaurant at 444 Lincoln Blvd, we went for lunch and had the lunch special; 1/3 rack of pork ribs with pulled pork or hot links or brisket,1 side of coleslaw, or mac and cheese or beans and corn bread for $12.95. The pork ribs were meaty and tender, the pulled pork was also very tender, corn bread was fantastic and the sides were also very good.

When we were there it wasn't crowded but I guess at night it gets busy and because of the waiting they ask you to vacate the table for folks waiting. The waitress and hostess were very nice.
Only downside is that it's pricy at $15-$24.00 for dinner.

I can't believe I haven't heard of this place before. When you eat here, you might as well forget about any diet you may have, it's time for a cheat day ;) The atmosphere reminds me of an old smokehouse in the south. The food is some of the best BBQ I've had in LA. The Baby Back Ribs are perfectly done, they fall off the bone, by barely touching them. There are 4 different sauces you can try, ranging from Sweet, Original, Hot, and XXX. You can get the Ribs, two Fixin's, and Cornbread, for around $20. This is not even covering the other dishes on the menu. Blackened Catfish, BBQ Chicken, You have plenty of delicious, comfort food to choose from. The "Fixin's" are even top notch. I went with the Mac 'n Cheese and the Spinach, both are superb. They do get a litte busy, especially on the weekends and during lunch. They don't accept reservations, either, so be prepared to wait. It's worth it!

I could not believe we were ignored the whole time. We wanted the bill split and they forgot about us. Then our waitress throws us a pen and says, "here you split it" as soon as we did we had to wait another half hour for her to come back and before we left they actually asked us if they could have a tip. ASKED US! Who does that? Finally we had to tell them how horrible the service was and they told us to never come back. Side note: the back of the restaurant is filthy and the tables are sticky and unsanitary.

Sometimes, you just have to let go and forget about calories, BMI and the latest health trends. And so, when in L.A., I'll indulge in a scrumptious meal at Baby Blues BBQ on Lincoln Boulevard near Venice Beach.

This is nothing less than culinary heaven for those of us that love BBQ food and enjoy eating it in an easy-going, shabby chic atmosphere.

Not only is this soul food great tasting, every dish on the menu is prepared and cooked according to old school recipes originating from places like North Carolina, Tennessee and Louisiana.

The service is as casual as the rockabilly decor – without being slack or inattentive. Personable, yet professional.

Baby Blues BBQ is a walk-in restaurant only (no reservations accepted) so, there may be a short wait until you get a table, depending of course on when you arrive. Lunch and weekends (especially Sunday evenings) are usually quite busy. Yes, they do catering.

Recommendation: a plate of Baby Back Ribs with a side of Mac 'n Cheese followed by a bowl of Banana Pudding will fill you up just nicely.

Baby Blues...! Oh my... The best beef ribs I have ever eaten in my life. Amazing beef ribs. Let's start with the texture. The beef ribs is grilled to perfection, the outer part is crisp and not burnt. Then, you grab your knife and sliced it. Oh so tender! Sometimes it's so tender that you don't even need to slice it. The beef ribs are so tender that it melts in your mouth. The taste of the beef is fragrant and delicious. Baby Blues beef ribs are like the wagyu of ribs. It's just that amazing.

There's four different sauces: bbq, sweet, hot, and porno. My favorite is the bbq or the sweet one. You can also mix them to your preference. For the sides, I'd recommend the mac and cheese and spinach. The corn cob is also good.

Please note that there's another branch but I heard it's not so good. So go check out this branch in Venice. If you are a beef lover like me, you'll fall in love with this place.
