Not cheap, but unquestionably the finest dining experience I have ever had.... And I didn't even have any of the wines on their very impressive wine list. The service team (Hoang, Jennifer, et al) were exquisite. It's a long drive from the Midwest, but I will return!

“Deserves its Michelin stars”
Reviewed June 15, 2012

We had the five course tasting menu with wine pairings - fantastic food, exceptional service. We weren't fond of one of the menu items so they graciously substituted. All courses were delicious, very creative, and works of art. The wines were very unusual (Japanese, Austrian, Croatian) but paired perfectly with each course. It's rare to get special pricing at an establishemnt like this, but during their anniversary month (June), the five course menu is discounted. They also offered two Amuse Bouches, which were probably the most memorable courses of all.

“Some of the best seafood in the country”
Reviewed June 11, 2012

Providence consistently has some of the most incredible food anywhere, and if you like seafood in particular, this is the place for you. It's well worth the effort to get the tasting menu, and let them bring you whatever the chef is preparing for the day. Also, Providence consistently has THE BEST wine pairing we've had anywhere. Their sommeliers truly know how to pair wines with food, and you'll be able to try some wines you never knew existed. A great way to expand your horizons. Make sure and plan ahead--reservations are often difficult to get.

“A Great Special Occasion Venue”
Reviewed May 28, 2012

If you can manage it, try to get the private room with chef's table. It has a full panel glass wall with a terrific view of the kitchen. On the night we went, we had special guests from out of the country. What a treat to have a visit from Chef Cimarusti himself! We had the tasting menu, and our server was so generous that he brought all of us an extra dessert when we struggled to decide on which menu to choose. From our past experience, they are unfortunately very inflexible when it comes to planning your own even for more than 12 people. So be advised that this is a very formal place, not appropriate for small children and requires good planning if you have a large party. Don't let this stop you if you have never tried this spectacular restaurant.
