We called in for lunch before our flight. We knew the place and the thought of captive food at the airport wasn't appealing.
I understand comments about the service when it gets busy - it feels understaffed at times in the evenings, but we have never had any issue ourselves.
This early afternoon visit was noticeable by the electricity around and the hypercharged service. This might have had something to do with the inspection taking place by senior management, but we found the service very efficient but more importantly friendly.
We really enjoyed our grand slam mega carbo load ups before our flight, as well as the endless coffee. Thoughts of the ice cream sundae fortunately receded as the pancakes caught up with me. We're not talking haute cuisine here, but honest comfort food. As a treat once in a while, it was very enjoyable. Our server Alva (?) was very lively and engaging.
