It was nice to experience the oldest restaurant in Hollywood, think of all the great stars and deals that were made here. Some upgrades to the décor would be nice, especially in the bathroom. The food is deli style and very tasty. We had en excellent French dip, with homemade chips. The prime rib and baked potato were cooked to perfection. Our server was very attentive, we mentioned that we would share a caesar salad, and he actually had it divided for us. Nice touch.

Took my husband for a treat to Musso & Frank's. The atmosphere was rich with old Hollywood. Staff was attentive and anticipated EVERY need! The martinis were everything we had read about and more. Steaks were flavorful and perfectly cooked. Memorable evening.

The saying goes that in Los Angels todays waiter may be tomorrows movie star. The waiter I had at Musso & Frank seemed to be preparing for a main role in the rerecording of Grumpy Old Men.

The food was however surprisingly good. The menu has few items but well picked and days' specials were all very inviting. Price was reasonable mid-range and for lunch a reservation does not seem necessary.

I ate for the first time at Musso & Franks July 2013. It's really got an old school feel to it. It was fun to eat at such a legendary restaurant. The menu is very interesting and extensive, so there is really something for everyone to eat here. I had the prime rib and baked potato and a house salad. The salad was nothing to write home about, but the prime rib was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth, and the baked potato was perfectly cooked as well, nice and hot and soft and fluffy. Just delicious. My mom had the sand dabs and they were quite delicious. We drank water. I think we spent around $75 without buying drinks. So if you go, expect to spend some money. Good food.

The "Hollywood" day of our trip included a late lunch at Musso and Frank Grill. It has some great history to it and we were quite happy with our choice to dine there. It embodies the feel of old time Hollywood. We stuck to basic food, I had chicken salad which was good, not outstanding but solid. Husband had a burger and said it was one of the best he's tasted. They are supposed to be known for their martinis, can't comment on that, as we did not order.
