“Maybe it used to be a Farmer's Market?”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2014

The Farmer's Market was on all the lists of things to do in L.A., but you should not go with the expectation that you will find a variety of interesting products or produce. There are some vendors, but it is really more of a giant food court in an old fashioned setting. Many of the restaurants seemed to be good, but the one we ended up in (Little Spain?) was overpriced--especially the wine. We ended up paying over a $100 for a lunch for two. Parking is also quite challenging.

“Really great food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 9, 2014

We came here for lunch during a LA tour trip and really found that this was the standout of the whole tour. It was incredibly difficult to chose what to eat as there was such a wide variety of food at great prices. We had a lot of fun wandering around looking at all the different stalls. A must if you're only visiting LA for a little while.

“Always enjoy it”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 7, 2014 via mobile

We've traveled the world and yes, there are better farmer's markets. But this is a nice piece of old LA. This past Sunday we had brunch at Charlie's (the largest photo in this listing). The food was quick and good...old fashioned corn beef hash with poached eggs and scrambled eggs and bacon. Afterward we went to the gourmet store (sorry, don't recall the name - it's French though) where they sell wine, olive oil, etc. They were having a red dot sale....buy one get the other for $1. I needed them as a gift for my aunt who we were about to visit. Context: she and her husband owned 2 French restaurants in LA so she knows wine. When I presented her with the wines, she thought I had spent $100. Actual price: $24- total. If you're in the area, and want a quick bite, or need a gift like wine, just go. But make sure you validate your parking before trying to leave!

“Stability”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2014

I having been visiting Farmers Market since I was a kid. I love the variety that the restaurants offer. We recently made a special visit to the meat and poultry shops to provision for a family reunion......I was really happy to find extremely knowledgeable vendors who can obtain special items and do not over-price. Kudos to them!!!
