I have been going to the Red Lion for many years, except for the last few. I went in May for an early dinner. The two seating choices were downstairs, which was quite dark, and outside, which turned out to be quite smokey (from cigars and cigarettes). This was very unfortunate as their food (German comfort food) and service are good. I definitely recommend the food but probably will not go back to the restaurant for a while as there are plenty of places to dine in Los Angeles that don't have the smoke.
