“Not good but not bad”
Reviewed December 14, 2012 via mobile

The restaurant actually just changed name as Macchi's Bistro. But this is all what change as I can see.

I orderred the cheese and onion Tapas, but that was just a greacy snack.

For main course, I got the salmon with linguine. Salmon was ok, topped with tomatoes, but linguine does not taste anything. The are over cooked in non salted water, so absolutely no taste.

Service was very fast.

“Warm, friendly neighborhood Italian with consistently good food and service”
Reviewed December 10, 2012

A neighborhood favorite in the Marina del Rey, Venice area for all! Love their home baked bread delivered to your table hot with the super garlic/olive dipping sauce!! Great chopped salad ..and consistent ..fairly basic but good ...pastas and pizzas!! My friends are always craving the garlic bread and house chianti!

“Depends what you order”
Reviewed August 28, 2012

This place has something special to it as it's been here awhile now. I love the old story of how it started with Alejo's down the street but then was split by the owners. Alejo's is fantastic so this place had a good start. I really find some dishes bland and boring and then others fantastic. So it depends how you order. The one terrific item is the marinara sauce. I would bet on everything with that sauce being great. I had the vodka penne chicken pink sauce and it had no taste to it. Surprisingly boring. My friend had lasagna and that sauce is what made the dish. I love their mixed green salad dressing. That is what I would fly across the country for (or drive down the street and try to park). My friend had the ceasar salad and loved it. The bread and garlic oil also make it a fun experience. Go marinara!

“GREAT bread and dipping oil”
Reviewed July 19, 2012

Unlimited hot, fresh bread and oil is delivered to your table throughout your meal. Yum. But the meals themselves were nothing special.
