“Authentic Persian food ....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2013 via mobile

Visiting from FL, and already eaten here twice for dinner. We ate chicken kabob @ $12.95 and lamb kabob @ $17.95 tonight, both reasonably priced for the amount of food received. Be prepared to take a doggie bag home, but not for your dog. Great tasting food, reasonable prices, excellent service .... perfect combination. Parking can be a challenge, but worth the drive. Hope this is helpful for all you first-timers.

“generous portions, nice service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 9, 2013

Shamshiri was packed when we visited recently for lunch. The service was nevertheless prompt and cheerful. The menu is extensive and the pricing and portion sizes are generous. The food was average to slightly above average. The crowd appeared to be weighted toward Persians so the other reviews attesting to authenticity of cuisine are likely very accurate. It was certainly clearly quality Mediterranean food. We will be very likely to return given how positive this first experience was.

“Dont miss this authentic and fabulous source of Irani food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2013

Located in the heart of Tehr-an-geles in LA, one should not miss this food. This is a restaurant of great vintage, and serves really authentic Irani food. The long vegan list on the menu makes it compelling for every vegetarian food lover to try never to give this a miss when in Tehran. The staff was kind and personal, and Shah-rukh from the family that runs the place was a great host. Quantities are huge a la Irani, and they are happy to pack food for you.

One must say this place seems to have saved and nurtured genuine Irani / Asian culture across decades.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 20, 2013

we went there for dinner with two more coupels .
Service was a bit slow ,maybe because the resturant was full .
The food was awosome (as half persian I can say it also very authentic).
For apptizer we all shared TADIG (A Persian Crispy Rice, topped with KHORESH BADEMJAN Stew)-Very good !
For main course I had the GHORMEH SABZI-Fresh green Herbs, sautéed and stewed with Kidney Beans, dried lime and Chicken-very Good !
My husband had CHICKEN KABOB was good too .
all served with fresh bread made in place .Yummi !!!
Bare in mind that the portions are huge, so it can easly be shared . price is totaly reasnoble.
We all enjoyed it very much .
