“K-Town Gem”
Reviewed May 13, 2013

I had dinner here recently and this old school Korean BBQ was the best! First, yes I went because it was featured on Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown. It looked interesting on the show and it is a 5 minute drive from my house. There was a limited wait time for a table. The restaurant is similar to old school diners. Waitstaff in brown uniforms and formica tables with a conveniently hidden burner. They were so attentive and there when you needed them. The owner came by our table to make sure everything was ok. Really nice guy! This is not an all you can eat Korean BBQ-- which I think may be why I like it more...we did not leave smelling and sweating meat for hours on end. The food was good but the Kim Chi Fried Rice was ridiculously good!!! I am heading back there tonight for the rice.

“Spicy Kim Chi Fried Rice !!”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

The spicy Kim Chi fried rice was excellent. I've never had it before (much less for dessert !).

The beef bulgogi was delicious, as was the barbecue chicken.

Unfortunately, they didn't carry Crown Royal or Johnny Walker (Blue Label - they did have Black Label)

“Just the best restaurant in the world!”
Reviewed September 7, 2011

I've been going here for a few years now and it has just the most amazing food in the world! Don't expect great service, or the people to speak good English, and it's in a pretty rough area of town, so park in the back and use that entrance, but it's all worth it for the BUL GOL GI!!! Just the most amazing sauce and beef in the whole world! And the Kim chi is great too. Anywhere else just pales in insignificance for korean bbq. Go there and you will be hooked i assure you!!!
