This is an Argentinian steakhouse in Melrose Ave. We came for dinner and loved it!
The atmosphere was pleasant, the service was very good and the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered tasty Empanadas, excellent steaks (Bife de Lomo a la Portabella and Entraña and very good pasta dishes (Ravioles de Porcini, Ñoquis de Papa).
We are pleased to recommend!

The restaurant is small but cozy, it has live music, there was a pianist playing on a Friday night when we were there.
It is homey and what makes it more special is that it is run by its owners, a friendly family that offers you an awesome personalized service.
The menu is not extensive but it has options for everyone. Since it is an Argentinean restaurant, the Argentinean style grilled meat is what most of the customers order.
The starters we chose were fantastic: empanadas, provoletta (grilled cheese), and salads: Caesar, house salad and watercress salad, and the meat was out of this world and grilled to perfection. Our entrana and tapa de ojo were served in traditional Argentinian's wood platters, with side dishes of cauliflowers, broccoli and a delicious mash.
Desserts are made by one of the owners, though we didn't try any, we have seen customers in other tables, enjoying their succulent desserts to the last crumb.
Pricey, yes....but it's worth to pay a visit to a restaurant where food and service are out of this world.

Went to dinner here and had one of the best steaks I have ever had and I have been to plenty of steak houses.
It was a bone in ribeye for two. Waiter told us that they did not use seasonings on the steak as the steak spoke for itself. I was skeptical but was he ever right. That steak roared.

This is an excellent place for steak! The following rankings are based on the 5 star scale, the more stars the better.

PARKING: 2.0 stars. Very limited to street meter parking unless you want to use their valet service. Plan on arriving early to allow time to find an open meter, you may end up finding a parking spot across the street and down a few blocks. Traffic in the area can be very busy so it may be a good idea to drop off your guests in front of the restaurant in the valet spot so you can look for parking.

SERVICE: 4 stars - service is good and reservations is suggested. The restaurant is small and feels a bit tight (some will say cozy) but the servers are friendly and attentive.

AMBIANCE: 4 stars. Very nice and relaxing. Somewhat formal but not stuffy, most of the clients were in dressy casual attire. There was live piano music when we had dinner on Saturday evening, a nice touch but I don't really know if it made the ambiance that much nicer since you had to talk over the music for conversation.

FOOD: 3 to 5 stars.
The appetizers were not extraordinary, they were in the 3 star range. We ordered garlic shoe string fries (good flavor but a bit too salty for us), spinach/cheese empanadas, beef empanadas, and chorizo sausage (this is not the same as Mexican chorizo). Bread is served warm in a basked accompanied by a bowl of chimchurri sauce, I suppose you can ask for butter but we did not, this was good.

We tried Quilmes, the import beer from Argentina - we did not like this. If you are use to the more flavorful non-IPA beers then you may be not like Quilmes, it tasted like light domestic beer and not worth the $8 bottle price, a 2 star rating.

Their beef is probably the best I have ever tasted, 5 stars here! The plates are served with their version of mashed potatoes and vegetables. No one complained about the mashed potatoes but the veggies were not really touched by our party though I liked them. We ordered and shared rib eye steaks, rib eye caps (this is the fattiest part of the rib-eye or prime rib cut), and skirt steak (aka; carne asada ranchera) all cooked in medium rare. The rib eyes came with a red wine reduction sauce and the rib eye caps with mushrooms. Skirt steak appeared seasoned simply with salt and pepper and intended to be topped with your chimchurri sauce from the table, it did not need it. All the cuts of meat was tender and flavorful, if you really like red meat on special occasions then this may be the place for you.

VALUE: 3 stars. This place is not cheap but pretty much in line with a premium steakhouse, expect to pay $65-75 per person for shared appetizers, soft drink, and main dish without wine. Overall not a bad price on a date night for two but expensive with a party of 6 or more.

INTERESTING AREA: This is West Hollywood so it is already an interesting place to people watch on Melrose Avenue and seeing an actor you recognize is often normal. We saw Lawrence Fishburne (The Matrix) park in front of us in his Tesla to pick up some food at a nearby restaurant and Ashton Kutcher (That' 70's Show) was seated about 2 tables away from us, this may have been the evening highlight for our teenage daughter.
