Spend $16 or $17 for a gigantic portion of whatever you order. I had the Cheese steak sandwich and could only eat half. Desserts were delicious, too (we had peach cobbler). The place has history and very friendly Spanish-speaking help. Parking is also convenient right across the street. We met two homeless and gentle beggars outside the restaurant and gave them our well-preserved leftovers.

THIS L.A. LANDMARK IS WORTH THE WAIT

We waited 40 minutes on a Saturday morning for their delicious brunch. I had eggs, French toast, and sausage. My wife and son had similar fare; my wife recommends the buckwheat pancakes.

This 90 year old LA institution does the trad thing right. Cash on the barrelhead, fast and efficient service (once you get a seat), excellent, down home cuisine from their short and simple menu. Open 24/7; they haven’t closed since 1924.

Haven't been here in awhile. 7 years I guess. Reason is there's a saloon next door instead of a bakery.Menu items are up on the board. Cheese & ham omelet comes with home fried potatoes. Both good ! Coffee is good also.. Open 24 hrs. Cash only. Out of towners, you will be glad to come here. Get the sourdough bread.

This is my favorite restaurant in LA. It hasn't been without a customer since around 1920. The steaks are great, Cole slaw is fresh, sourdough bread is the best. I buy their home-made steak sauce by the case.

A 24/7 diner with friendly stuff and amazing food. Very popular with the locals as well and you do have to stand in a queue to go in so be prepared. But the wait just helps with your appetite. Be prepare for big quantity breakfast meals
