This is one of those diners that have been around forever and never loose their appeal. Simple menu, fast service, huge portions and hearty meals, even the outdated decor becomes part of its charm.

This place has a really fun, old fashioned atmosphere and the service was fast and friendly. It is open 24/7, too. The breakfast was amazing, huge portions and so delicious. Everything was cooked just right! If you like old fashioned diners, you'll love this place. They looked to have really good, homemade pies and cake, too. The price was very reasonable.

This place brings back memories of the counter diners you found commonly back in the day. It's a fun experience. The food is average though. If you are expecting a great food experience you will probably be disappointed. It's worth experiencing at least once if you are in LA.

This restaurant has much of it's original old charm. There are not a lot of bells and whistles. However, the food is excellent. The sour dough bread is outstanding. Who knew that bread could be so good. I ate breakfast here twice. The second time I ordered the pancakes. These were delicious as well.

It may not be clear, but facing the door from the outside, the line on the right is for counter service. The longer line on the left is for table service. There is a gentleman controlling the door, but he doesn't explain this.

Other than that, it was a great experience, great food!

On our way to the match in Staples Center, we stopped in Pantry to have a bite. Quite an experience. It's a kind of iconic place, full of.. Euh.. Lots of different kind of people. Totally no nonsense, bit smelly, fatty atmosphere. The waiters seems to work here already for ages. The places apparently hasn't changes in the last 50 years. The food ok. BIG portions for reasonable budget. Unfortunately you cannot drink a beer or wine with your meal, as alcohol is not served. The atmosphere is great. It seems to be a local favorite.
