“Wonderful Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

While in LA for a conference in March 2013, my husband and I and a group of friends chose Guelaguetza for dinner. The menu is extensive, but mole is the attraction here. We all chose entrees featuring mole. The food was delicious, and I very much enjoyed the live music. I would definitely dine at Guelaguetza again next time I am in LA.

“Loosen your belt in advance ...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2012

Wonderful place to explore a regional Mexican cuisine you won't find in most mainstream Mexican restaurants. All your traditional Mexican dishes are represented on the extensive menu, but don't be conservative here. Try the Oaxacan entrees for an eye opening change of pace. If the only mole you know is the commonly encountered chocolaty mole poblano, try the Festival de Moles that presents it with several others you're not likely to find elsewhere. And, if there are two or three of you, you can make an entire meal out of the Combinacion de Antojitos and a couple beers. You'll go away happy. If you a tourist visiting Hollywood, or downtown Los Angeles the restaurant is a short, surface drive, that will show you a totally different side of the city.

“Simple, good, authentic and affordable”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2012

Friends invited us at Guelaguetza for dinner. Food was really good and authentic. If you want to try real Mexican food, guacamole, mole, cactus... It's probably a restaurant you should consider. Everything we had was tasty, the service was very friendly and the price was very affordable. The only bad thing was the music, too loud.
