It feels like an episode of the Sopranos-red banquettes, wait staff that has been here forever, and great steaks at a great price. It's not fancy and the sides are what you expect however everthing is expertly prepared and the price is right.

After a day touring Hollywood with out of town family, it was the perfect place for everyone.

When you eat and have a drink at the bar at Taylor's, the bar tender demands payment for each drink right away. Unusual, unless they have the type of people that drink and run.
The steak was good, the baked pot. was old tasting, probably microwaved.
The service was good, but the wine list was the worst anyone could imagine in a popular California eatery. They need to have more choice and some high end wine, in decent wine glasses. It makes such a difference.

I have been coming here for more than 25 years. The atmosphere is very upbeat tho never too noisy. When I first started coming here the prices were ridiculously low for superior quality food. In the past 2 years I've been here about 4 times and I have noticed the prices climb very steadily. Twenty four dollars for a 'dinner' cut of prime rib is a bit steep considering it comes only with a potato or rice. Service is always friendly but they can get bogged down occasionally. All in all, it is still a very worthwhile place to visit. For me, it will be more of a special occasion place as opposed to a regular haunt due to the pricing.

Been there for 57+ years for good reason! Great steak at great prices. No pretense, just history and hearty fare. Old time steak house atmosphere - complete with red leather booths and a bar that knows how to make any mixed drink on the planet. Competent, friendly service from a staff that has been doing it for years and still pays enthusiastic attention to detail. A real neighborhood gem!

Taylor's used to be a favorite spot when I would visit Los Angeles -- it's old school vibe, cozy bar and excellent steaks take you back to Mad Men days. A recent visit was a disappointment. The martinis are still fabulous, but the food was not as good, the service was rushed and the pace of the meal off. Maybe it was just a bad night, or maybe they're coasting on their status as an LA landmark. It'll always be a nostalgic favorite for me, but I hope that they improve their game.
