“Hidden Behind a Hedge!”
Reviewed February 4, 2013

Right on Ventura....look for the hedge with a valet parking attendant out front. The front wall is covered with a hedge.

Too cool for school attitude...play along with it and you'll have a good time! But if you want Applebee's, go there instead.

Good food, good service and some fun people- watching. And yes, that IS a unisex washroom....you'll never know who you'll meet.

“Great Atmosphere and Service too!”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

Don't be intimidated by the exterior of this place, the magic awaits you inside. The Firefly Manhattan~ Premium Rye Whiskey, House Made Orange Marmalade, Dash of Bitters, Sweet Vermouth, Grand Marnier Soaked Cherry was just what the doctor ordered after a long drive up the PCH. Our salads were perfectly timed for delivery and the wines arrived in advance of the main course. I had their fish & chips, belgian ale battered cod, house tarter sauce, we also had the grilled kurobuta pork chop, broccoli & buttermilk blue souflet, grilled figs, & radicchio and the sweet pea ravioli, forest mushrooms, la querchia pancetta, wilted pea tendrils, almond butter were the star of the show. After a brief stint outside to digest I returned to the table to find that my wife and my friend had nearly devoured the melon trio consisting of cantaloupe sorbet, ginger, watermelon sorbet, lime pearls, honeydew sorbet, fresh mango, mint and basil gel. Overall a FANTASTIC evening.

“Very attractive place...and people.”
Reviewed August 29, 2012

Very nice patio, comfortable indoor lounge.

Average food, fair and over-priced cocktails.

Great place to just hang out and visit and people watch.
Get the address before going...no signs in front.

“Food great! Service Sucks!”
Reviewed February 9, 2012

The food was superb but we were a party of 12 and the waiter clearly understood that his gratuity was already included. Wouldn't go back based on the service

“Try the fried olives....”
Reviewed December 13, 2011

Really, really good food. Can't recommend it more highly. The fried olives were an appetizer. I had the petit filet and fries, which were out of this world. Nice wine list. And great outside conversation area.
