“Bait and switch restaurant”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2013

First let me say that this place serves a very good breakfast. We seldom come here for lunch and maybe a couple of times for dinner, (but not at the Sherman Oaks location).
We were eating here a few weeks ago and noticed that they were advertising two entrees and two desserts for $20.00. We called over the waiter and asked him if any entree on the menu was included in this deal. He proceeded to inform us that it was for any entree, even the steak listed for $18.00. I was a little surprised, but said that we should try them out at a later date. We went back a few weeks later and tried them out, only to find that they were now severely limiting what entree you could have for the special offer. Oh, now the only dessert being offered at the special was either a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or a cookie, before it was for any dessert on the menu.
This is funny....we asked if we could have shrimp added to a salad that they sell for $10.50 and were initially told no. However the waiter did come back to agree to giving us the shrimp. I suppose that their special promotion was hurting them with people ordering the most expensive items on the menu....so they shut it down very quickly.

I will admit that the salads were worth the promotional price as long as you could get shrimp added on. They were nice size and they gave you at least 6 of them.

Great neighborhood eatery. Wide variety on menu, all consistently good. Portions are enormous. Breakfast here is terrific!

“Goodbye to my Jinkeys”

We loved this place when it was open on Sunset Blvd. The only other location I'm aware of is in Santa Monica on 2nd St. The portions were HUGH.

“Breakfast on steroids”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2013

Great breakfast or lunch place in the Valley, or Agoura. Crowded unless you arrive early. Good food, good portions and usually good service. Best is the reasonable price.

“Great Breakfast”

Great Huevos con Pollo, a spin on Huevos Rancheros with a tasty tomatillo sauce, black beans and grilled chicken breast.
