“Great lunch”
Reviewed March 16, 2014 via mobile

Delicious fresh food, intimate space. This cafe/restaurant tucked beside Fred Segal is a real treat. Only downside I could find would be the acoustics when the place is busy - which it always is! Otherwise a lovely experience.

“Lovely people and food”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

Hidden behind Fred Segal's on Melrose is a great spot for a late lunch. Loaded with regulars, everyone is welcoming, interesting and super fun. Food is clean, simple and light, just the right touch for an afternoon straight out of France, (perfect for a Friday). Excellent value and Evelyn is amazing,.... what a great lady! Thank you!

“Never thought i would be so loyal”
Reviewed September 9, 2012

This is a true Story
There is this small Cafe, Called Mauros in the Middle of Fred Segals Boutique Shops. It was owned for many years and was totally focused on italian food, which i was a regular. They had delicious everything. Then about 1 year ago, a savvy and talented french woman took it over with
her witty side kick Guillaume(he is originally from Switzerland0. Together they uniquely transformed the restaurant, which many do not know is open for Breakfast, Lunch (the most popular time and quite a happening place with local and tourists alike)and early dinner(they are open unitl 7pm, but wish they would stay open until 8pm.They still serve delicious pastas and French combined dishes, like roasted chicken, varierty of Fish Dishes with a french Flair and the most delicious deserts(Tremasu, chocholate cakes of the day etc) and this has been enhanced
by their bringing in a young and quite promising bakery chef named Basel. Its a must go to if you are lost for ideas where to go for lunch, where to bring a clientor someone from out of town.
i recently took a client out to the Paramount Studio lot for lunch and she seemed quite disappointed when i dropped her off after our lunch and she wanted to go shopping at Fred Segal
and saw all the buzz. inretrospect i was disappointed for her too. By the way did i tell you they started a Point Sysytem like The Cinemas have. Go and Try , you will be surprisingly delighted.

“Paparazzi in Parking lot”
Reviewed March 5, 2012

On Melrose in the Fred Segal complex, this restaurant seems to attract celebrities by the number of guys with cameras in the parking lot. The food and ambience is not bad either.
