“Mimosas while you wait”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

We visited Overland Cafe after hearing for months how great it is by a friend. We were not disappointed. The wait time was about 40 minutes for a table which I expected for Sunday brunch. The friendly waitresses offered us Mimosas while we waited. Bottomless Mimosas are $7 per person and obviously one of the big draws for customers. The nice thing is they bring you your own bottles and carafes. No waiting for someone to notice your glass is empty; plus you are served champagne in a juice sized glass not a flute. Large plates filled with breakfast-y goodness came shortly thereafter. We even had the asparagus appetizer which was yummy. Would recommend arriving prior to 11am, place was busiest at 1pm.

“Great burgers & good breakfasts”
Reviewed March 30, 2013

I frequent the Overland occasionally for weekday breakfast & dinner. They have good breakfast specials during the week (never go there for breakfast on the weekend since it's a zoo). They have a pretty diverse menu for lunch/dinner. Good salads and burgers (love the burger w/ bleu cheese and grilled onions). They have good beer selection and happy hour pricing until 7pm. This is a low-key neighborhood spot, which I prefer over chain or larger restaurants.

“Sunday Brunch Is the BEST!”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

Just had a bottomless champagne brunch there and it was great! You can get unlimited mimosas for just about 7 dollars when purchasing any entree. The Eggs Benedict on crab cakes were creative and delicious. The place was packed when we got there, so make sure you either make a reservation or get there early.

Staff was overly friendly which isn't too bad of a compliment.

“What a fab find!”
Reviewed January 15, 2013 via mobile

Found this restaurant randomly on google maps and boy was I glad. It doesnt look like much from the outside but the staff are all very friendly and the food is absolutely lovely. We ended up going there 4-5 times over our 7 night stay in Culver City as it was the only place we could walk to that wasnt a fast-food joint. Kid-friendly and serves the best warm chocolate brownie I've ever eaten! And I've tried a lot! Loads on the menu and all cooked really well, very home-cooked feel.

“Great Local Eatery”
Reviewed December 15, 2012

I have eaten at Overland Cafe for years and it has gone through a transformation from neighborhood restaurant to a yummy diversified eatery. Can't go wrong with most dishes and their mac and cheese is to die for. I love the Salmon Salad, but they have great skirt steak and breakfasts too. If you are looking to eat dinner with friends, or as a couple before a movie, this plate will hit the mark for everyone.
