It was extraordinary. Massive area, ceiling to floor being all glass and affording panoramic views.
We were at the end of a long queue with a hungry, crying child at lunch time. But we found ourselves at the top in minutes and ushered in to a very organised arrangement of counters for the kind of food you wanted - curry, burritos, burger and the like.
Pick up a black tray and get into a queue again. Very efficiently done. Then collect your drinks and pay at various tills. Then pick up cutlery, condiments and sauces etc. There was seating, ample, inside the restaurant or on the terrace outside. The fare was excellent and was good value.
Finally, please return your trays and used plates and everything to the area signposted 'Tray Return'. And it gets carried away along a conveyor belt...
A most orderly and efficiently organised operation! But this is of course the Getty Center which attracts huge crowds and yet disburses them without any appearance
Thank you Paul Getty for your vision and your magnanimity! And well done Getty Centre for providing a most extraordinary experience to the world.
