“Romantic and cozy”
Reviewed February 19, 2012

We sat outside for the best lunch I have had in LA. Ivy gives you a feeling of Tuscany in LA, and the crowd is second to none. Food is good and the ambience combined with fantastic Bellinis will make us come next time

“Best coffe cup ever”
Reviewed February 19, 2012

Really great and interesting place. Really happening. Food was terrific. The bestbpart though were these huge ceramic mugs with great coffee. Had to buy a set nextbdoor after we ate.

“There goes my mortgage”

Very pretty, pleasant staff but priced to keep out the riff-raff. Glad we finally dined there, but wont be back.

“Been many many times..... it's good for different reasons, not always one that you would expect.”
Reviewed February 9, 2012

First, let me start off by saying that The Ivy is not the place to go if you are looking for typical healthy California fare.... this is one of the rare places in LA for comfort food. Mashed potatoes, meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, prime rib, which is NOT your typical Cali food. The fried chicken is excellent, my one son thought he died and went to heaven while eating his pricey prime rib ( and he is a true prime rib aficionado ) and all three of my children enjoyed the desserts.

Even while visiting there with my children, the staff were welcoming, attentive and friendly (those that have dined with children, know that this does not always occur in some places)

While being there on dates, it has been cozy, intimate and serene.

Would I recommend this establishment? Yes, but depending on why you are going there. When I've gone with dates, the coziness and the cottage feel gives a very intimate feel. While I was dining there with my children, it was to celebrate my daughter landing a lead role in a movie with Universal so it was fun to watch people go ga ga over us, trying to figure out who we were...... if out shopping and looking to do lunch with the ladies, it's intimate enough that you can carry on a conversation without shouting over tons of noise, if you are a transplant to LA and missing good comfort food, it's the place to go, if you are looking to have dinner with a large group or a business meeting with more than 4-6 in your
party, there are better places to do so..... if you are looking to do LA on the cheap, it is not the place to go..... just dinner with my children, with tip, came to around 400 dollars.
