I highly recommend American Riviera Private Tours. Our tour was originally to tour where western films are made. We were taken to one of the areas with many sights to see along our way as well as on our return. We stopped at wonderful places and our tour guide, Yuriy, would take pictures on our devices as part of the tour experience. We could ask as many questions as we wanted and Yuiriy was very knowledgeable of the entire area. He also had pictures and video clips that offered even more information about the areas and attractions. We enjoyed our personal tour very much and felt we were able to have a combination of many other advertized commercial tours in one nice 5 hour tour with Yuiry without the big busses and so many people.

We booked with this company because their communication via email was so very good, and because they were so very flexible.
Yuriy was our guide and he was excellent. He met us at the airport, arriving on time, and at the end of the tour drove us to the hotel in Anaheim near Disneyland. Being picked up from the airport, and being dropped off at our Hotel, was a real plus, and not easy to find with other companies.
Yuriy is relaxed and pleasant company, told interesting background stories about the places we went, and was a careful safe driver.We said what places we wanted to see and Yuriy worked around this. We booked a 5 hr tour plus we paid for an extra hour to see everything we wanted.
We went to see the canals and the beach in Venice Beach, and we saw where Arnold Shwarznegger (spelling?) used to train. Then to Santa Monica Pier and beach. We went to Beverley Hills and Bellair, and saw the extravagant houses of the rich, and famous streets such as Rodeo Drive and Sunset Boulevard. We saw where Pretty Woman was filmed, and Yuriy told us about other filmings and songs. He showed us video clips to illustrate different places, such as parts of "Grease" which was filmed in Venice Beach area. He also took us to the Farmers Market for lunch, and then on to Hollywood to see the homes of famous people, and up to a look out to look over LA and to see the big Hollywood sign on the hill. We saw the Chinese Theatre and the Walk of Fame where the stars on the footpath are.
We felt that we had seen a lot of LA in a short time, in a fun way.

Me and my husband decided to visit California back in November 2016. I found American Riviera Private Tours and contacted them. Galina answered all my questions, and we reserved private LA and San Diego tours with them. Our tour guide was Yuri. He was excellent, arrived just on time, took us places really fascinating. I don't think we would be able to see so much, driving around ourselves. We saw Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Malibu, Getty Villa. Also we spend whole day in San Diego with Yuri. He showed us not only beautiful San Diego, but also Coronado Island. On our last day in LA Galina took us to Getty Center. So, we can honestly say: "Thank you, Galina and Yuri! You make such a good team, helping tourists to explore California!"
