“A horrible experience”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2009

Cock roaches, dust mites, bed bugs became our friends! They bit us so bad that we must leave to find another hotel in the middle of the first night!

There was no fan, no air conditioning, window, door, all broken!
Towels were old and not changed! Microwave, Kitchenette, size like an individual bathroom that fits only one person!

Room had a smell of a dead corpse. We complained and they said "they had just cleaned it"!

One nite Stay Monterey Inn

we can't please everyone, but we try since September 11th we have been bombarded by travelers, and we love it, although we have a 99 percent like / love us, ratio......

Heres the real reason that 1 percent might have a problem and definately hate us.
first let me say we've never had dust mites, and our hallways are soooooo clean you can see your reflection.

so the only thing we can say is that either the party may have booked for one person and came with several, and had front desk flack, we don't know but we would have appreciated the call
anytime. It kind of makes us wonder....

Some people get us mixed up of course with similar named hotels,,,,,

and others hate our cancellation policy which you have to have 3 days notification which is normal for smaller establishments, and we do give of course credit for future stay, which is of course based upon availability, and you may of course give your credit to a friend if you choose we have a tremendous amount of people who visit again and again,,,,

we do of course learn from our mistakes, and are focusing on helping the people to be able to travel and tour at an affordable rate.

We stayed one night at this "hotel" because we were boarding a cruise the next morning. A) This place is in a seedy part of town. B) The hotels reservation system consists of lost emails and mis-placed phone calls between the owner and staff. C) The decor consists of stickly floors and dust both in the hallways/common areas and the suites. D) The towels are not much thicker then napkins. E) The shower is part of the main room area, not a seperate room to itself, it's a closet with a curtain. F) The toilet CLOSET is so small that even a anorexic midget would have to back in and rotate 45 degrees to close the door. I honestly think roaches would have higher standards than to infiltrate this place. If you need a place to pass out, this might be it. If you care at all about staying in something even remotely close to clean.... this isn't going to be your cup of tea.
