We stayed for one night. It was convenient for where we were. The beds are a little hard, but you really couldn't beat it for the price. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast was basic, but satisfying. Wish there was a coffee pot in the room, but was super happy they had liquid creamer in the lobby. Wish the cups were bigger. :) *hint hint* More

Hotel is in good location but hotel is so ugly , breakfast is only coffee
This hotel looks better in pictures it looks like a motel, not enough parking are you need to be there early if you want parking near the hotel, for me it was over priced!!!!!
Also the shower had a really low water pressure

Great Little Hotel
We stayed for 5 nights. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. The rooms have been recently remodeled, and were quite comfortable. It was the perfect room for our trip as we were out and about seeing the sights and only in the room at night. The only thing to note is that the parking lot is very tiny. We had a larger vehicle for the 6 members of my family and parking some nights was a challenge. However, when we mentioned it to the hotel staff at check out they let us know we could have let the staff at the desk know and they would have found us a spot. The people were very accommodating and concerned about our comfort.

A lot smaller than expected but close to Universal
It was ok...As we drove in we kind of thought, "Is this it?" The parking lot is very small and one night we thought we wouldn't be able to find a space. One guest had a large truck that was squeezed into a space but it stuck out a bit. If you have a small car it's much better. The room was ok, but didn't have a microwave or coffee maker. It was roomy enough but probably because there wasn't much furniture, just an armoire, a small refrigerator and a table with the tv on it. We did find a good Italian pizza restaurant about a block and a half away. The neighborhood was a little questionable. For the most part the customer service was friendly. We did receive contradictory information about the price but it was cleared up. It was a lower scale basic motel accommodation. The breakfast was small with basic choices of fruit or muffins. It is very close to Universal and that was very convenient. If we stayed again it would be because of location and price, but not for comfort.

Universal Studios Trip
Clean newly remodeled rooms, Friendly staff, short drive from Universal Studios. Muffins, bagels, fruit etc provided for breakfast. Parking a bit challenging in a full size SUV, but upon checkout we were informed w
e could ask the night staff to move their vehicles for accommodation.
We enjoyed our stay at Colony Inn.

Very comfy. Universal friendly.
Stayed here during the last week of July 2017. Our main purpose for going to LA was Universal Studios. We wanted something close to there that wouldn't break the bank. Colony Inn was the cheapest price we found and it is very close to Universal. After the 2 hour drive from LAX to North Hollywood, we were very happy with our choice. Staying at the Colony Inn allowed us to eat breakfast (complimentary) at the hotel every morning and be out the door at 8:30 AM. We were parked and at the gates by 9 AM when the park opened. We stayed in a family suite (room 216). It was very spacious and very clean. It appeared as though the hotel had been recently updated. It is small, so the customer service was excellent. Free parking was awesome and the hotel is in walking distance of many restaurants. CVS is just down the street for any supplies you may need during your stay. The only thing the room is missing is a chest of drawers so you can put your clothes away during an extended stay. This is a very family friendly hotel, with 24 hour security monitoring and it appeared as though there was lays an attendant in or close to the office. The only reason I would ever return to LA is to go to Universal Studios and I would definitely choose this hotel again.
