Here is what I liked about this place:

1) Friendly staff.
2) Beds have the softest sheets.
3) Free breakfast with bagels/bread, muffins, cereal, fresh fruit, tea/coffee, orange juice, yogurt.
4) Daily room service.
5) Great location for Universal Studios - between 5-7 minutes drive.

Our first time staying here for 2 nights. Small parking lot but we had a compact car and we used Uber for transport to and from Universal Studios, so no problems. I would stay here again if I were visiting this area!More

Get more beds for your buck here
Pretty good deal for Hollywood/Los Angeles area. We wanted 3 beds which isn't easy to find without paying an arm and a leg for a fancy suite. This one fit the bill. Expensive, but it's the common price in the area so you get more bang for your buck. Little over a mile to Universal and few miles to WB studios. 30 mins to Santa Monica. King bed (also hard to find with multiple beds) on one side of the suite then a queen that's out of sight behind a wall and then a twin that you can see from the king. Nice bathroom except having to go get a plunger for the clogged toilet. Small fridge, table and few cheap chairs. Missed not having a couch or comfy chair. Old area so wasn't 100% comfortable walking to dinner. Yes, the parking lot is fenced but it's open where you pull in. Little stingy on giving you a token or 2 for the ice. Tiny bfast room with bagels and few cereals and yogurt.
Walked to Habit burger joint which was good. Tony's across the weird intersection is impossible to walk to and don't bother. Terrible food. Would stay again if in the area.

Great location
Great stay, included breakfast was fresh and yummy, fruit, muffins, bagels, etc. room was clean and tidy with plenty of space for us and our 2 small children. Great wifi. Close to shopping centre and an easy walk to the north hollywood train station. Close to great eating areas. And loved Habit burgers down the road. Staff were friendly and courteous. Only thing it was missing was a pool! Close to universal, hollywood

BED BUGS!!!!
We previously had a good experience so we returned here over the weekend. Woken up in the middle of night to my daughter crying something was biting her. I was horrified to find varikus sized live bed bugs in both beds. The staff acted like it was no big deal, first offered to change sheets (are you kidding me?) and eventually said could change rooms. I wanted my money back which theg wouldnt do. Although it was the middle of the night we left and went elsewhere. The weekend was ruined and we have had to go through extensive trohble to try make sure none will be brought home.

Clean, easy check in and super friendly staff
This may look old on the outside in what looks like a rough part of town, but once we drove in to the parking area, we were pleasantly surprised. The room was super clean and recently remodeled with the basic amenities in good working order. It was reasonably priced and near enough to Universal Studios and West Hollywood to take public transportation or Lyft or Uber leaving our car parked in their free parking lot. If I were to have any complaints it would be the lack of coffee pot in the room (I like super strong iced coffee in the morning) but with a Starbucks super close, it was not a big deal. There is also free coffee available during breakfast. The bed was very firm, which probably did us some good after walking around our destinations all day. I would definitely stay here again as well as recommend it to family and friends on a budget.

Better than expected!
We found the area the hotel to be in to be questionable, but the location turned out great. We had no issues with noise, and we were a $7-8 Uber ride to Universal Studios. The room was clean, though could use a bit of updating on the carpet. The mattress was a little hard, but it had everything we needed with enough space. The hotel is, I believe, non-smoking. When we first entered our room, we thought we could faintly smell cigarette smoke but it went away after we ran the a/c. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Universal and trying to avoid the excessively inflated prices of hotels within walking distance of the parks. *We did not try the breakfast, but free breakfast was offered in a room by the office each morning
