The descriptions persuaded us to make a reservation (using Open Table). We were not disappointed. Monday evening provides a 4 course meal with cocktail for $39. Each course was \very good and beautifully presented. The wait staff was very helpful in explaining aspects of the menu and making suggestions. Attentive without being overbearing. Will return.
We found parking easily one block away on Olive.

Fun, friendly staff and truly unique lunches. Six of us, 4 appetizers, 3 different lunch selections, all really, really good.

I love this place! The staff, decor, and most importantly...the food...is on point. I had oxtail with huancaina and yucca fries. Amazing! I am picky about Peruvian food, so I was so happy to come across this place. From what I understand, their happy hour deals are supposed to be great. Oh and the graffiti artwork in the restaurant is beautiful!

We have sampled their tasting menus a number of times at their old location (near the LA DMV). The food was always creative and inspired. The new Mochica cuisine did not have the flair their tasting menu had. The plates seemed bland and the traditional Peruvian dishes seemed to be overly managed. The tallarin as an example used flat pasta like parpardelle which made the marisco seem an afterthought. The grilled octopus was totally lost in the mass of potatoes and sauce accompanying it. Traditional Peruvian cuisine is good enough that it does not need much tinkering. If creativity is the goal they can utilize the vast array of ingredients that Peru offers. Central Restaurante in Lima does this to a fault.

More like a fast food peruvian with nice original flavors from Peru, with the original additions of their chef.
