I love Mohawk Bend!

I wish I could go more often!

They have 72 taps of amazing beer!

They have cocktails made with liquor from micro-distillaries!

They have excellent food, made from fresh ingredients by expert chefs!

The room is beautiful!

Only downside is the location

Parking is a problem. There is no parking lot. You hope there is a space somewhere. Almost no spaces are free, most have meters

Traffic can also be a problem..but it's really no different from any of the other popular parts of LA

Thank Mike P

Came here after reading about it and it's (mostly) vegan menu. Vegan and full bars typically do not go together. Wow were we impressed ! The hand crafted drinks are great- fresh juices and very creative. The food is outstanding. My (meat eating ) husband loved everything we ordered. The Buffalo Cauliflower was a standout. The Avo and Chips was really good.

We've been hearing good things about this place and it did not disappoint. We met up with some friends for brunch on a Sunday. The restaurant is in a converted theatre which is slightly odd but they make it work. The front patio area is covered and has a fireplace while the interior where the bar is with the dizzying array of beer taps is dark and cozy. But when you walk to the back, the courtyard space is beautiful with a soaring ceiling with skylights and tons of natural light, old industrial brick walls, comfy chairs and well placed greenery made it the perfect brunch spot. A good Jazz duo played live and really enhanced the atmosphere without being too loud. Our friends are vegetarians as is the owner of Mohawk Bend--so there are lots of options for them. In fact, all of us ordered vegetarian items---pizzas with salad and avocado, pizza with vegetarian sausage, a version of huevos ranchero, scrambles with pesto and roasted squash and asperagus and mushrooms. All were well priced and very good but my scramble was a bit bland---the pesto needed more seasoning. The guys enjoyed their beer selections and the ladies loved the light white wine sangria. But the beer and sangria really add up quickly and are on the pricey side---so it really inflates the final tab. Cocktails push the cost up even more and are in the $12-$15 price range which I think is just too much for this Echo Park neighborhood. Parking is a bit of a challenge--be prepared to walk a few blocks.

To this Ohioan almost everything in California seems to have at least a thin layer of trendiness on it so, while some others have mentioned that as a negative, I didn't notice. Stopped there for lunch and split an excellent pizza. Service was also quite good and I only regret that I couldn't try more of the 72 beers on tap.

Read about this place as one of the best brunch places so was slightly disappointed after we came here for brunch on a Thursday only to find out they only do brunch on weekends. Either way the food was great, had a burger which was fantastic and my partner had the Mediterranean platter which was also great. The service was second to none with house made drinks such as colas a refreshing change(literally). You could tell this is definitely more of a nightspot given the long bar and dark areas inside and apart from the upstairs area smelling a bit of beer kegs etc would certainly go here again.
