This is a budget hotel, so don't set your expectations too high. Location-wise it's brilliant as four (or five) blocks away is the Kodak Theater, and all the Hollywood stuff that tourists come for. This means that you'd only need to walk for 10 minutes and be in the middle of everything without worrying about parking, subway etc. In saying that, you'd also get the occasional interaction with the homeless community of Hollywood, being in that close to a tourist attraction. While they are mostly harmless, they do smell as well....
If you'd like to be able to park in the underground garage, pay your $10 quickly as it gets filled up pretty quickly. When we were there it was about at 150% off capacity but there have a parking attendant who parks your car etc.
As with most budget properties, things do look and feel old, threadbare carpets, and no coffee or tea making facilities. There is only one elevator so when things get busy you'd have to wait patiently for it to arrive. Ice machine is on the ground floor, and they provide tea/coffee between 8-10am.
It was quite hard getting good internet connection at level 5, we had to log in to the level 4 wi-fi connection but it wasn't a very strong connection. This is free BTW.More
