This is a great hotel and the location couldn't be better! It was a block from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Chinese Theater and adjacent to a great mall with lots of stores and restaurants. You could walk almost anywhere, very central location. The rooms were very clean and spacious. We got a junior king suite, which was beautiful. Hotel staff is very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast is very pricey; $24 per person. There are many other reasonable options in the area. I would recommend self parking. Valet parking is $38 per day, but self park is $13 per day. The only time valet parking is worthwhile here is if you are going to take the car out several times a day. If you self park you pay per hour, but $13 is the daily maximum. All in all, a great experience at Loews. I would definitely stay there again!

Room Tip: Higher floors are better.

The bed was very comfortable with a nice and firm mattress for great lumbar support. My wife and I both agreed that it was one of the best we had slept on. The location cannot be beaten – it’s adjacent to a mall with loads of places to eat and buy groceries if needed. You can easily book sight-seeing tours and buy tickets for Universal Studios etc at several places nearby. The metro station is also very close.

The negatives are that Loews always seems to be on the EXPENSIVE side compared to similar hotels with the same amenities. One of the girls working at the reception did not seem to be trained in providing good customer service or perhaps simply did not care about it. Nevertheless, one of the managers was very nice and skilled. Other than that it was a great stay.

Stayed here two nights in April 2014. It was EXPENSIVE to stay here. We were in room 1419 and had a great view of the Hollywood sign. This hotel is in a great location! Right out the front door is the Walk of fame and Graumans Chinese Theatre. This is Hollywood and Highland. There are restaurants and shopping attached to the hotel. The HOLLYWOOD sign is easiest seen here. Although, like some others have noted the room windows are filthy and it is hard to see out. Some things to watch out for...Our bathroom door was weird in that you could not leave the room if your bathroom door was open it blocked the exit door. $38 to valet park. You can pay $13 a night next door but there is no in and out privilege. The gym is small and both days there was a wait to get on a treadmill. The staff was extremely nice and very helpful anytime we asked.A special thank you to Ernesto, the fabulous bartender! Awesome drinks and great conversation. We really enjoyed our evening sitting, relaxing and having martinis at the bar. I would stay here again.

Stayed for three days in three rooms. Check in was easy. They required a $50 deposit/hold in my card which was released upon check out.
As soon as you go out of the hotel, the kodak theater and walk of fame is just beside the hotel. There is a donut shop in front of the hotel where you can buy donuts and pastries.
A Mcdonakds is 5 minutes away by walking to Hollywood Blvd.

Room Tip: Request for a room with a view of the Hollywood sign..

Hotel is right in the middle of the tourist area of Hollywood. It is simple to walk out of the hotel to a movie, dinner etc. We had a great time. The facilities are terrific and service was great. It is also close to Universal, downtown, and Burbank if you are heading to any of those areas. The hotel is on the pricier side but it was soooo much better than the hotel we had in Santa Monica. The buffet breakfast at the hotel was really expensive for our kids ($24 each) so I'd advise going elsewhere.

I though that this was one of the best hotel in the area... What a surprise, it is the worst that I ever been in my my life. We came to LA to celebrate my Mom's birthday , I paid 500 hundred per night for a doble King Deluxe room .. When I got here .. Nobody help you out with your baggage.. There was not available Room ,I spent my first afternoon checking that Possible rooms available that I could get... At night bcz is only one bed ,I've had to sleep in the couch... I have called for extra pillows and sheets bed... What a surprise the answer was... Sorry there is not more pillows and sheets.. Next day I came to the pool .. There was not chairs not towels, no one helping you. I switch to the W hotel.. Close around .. The W Hollywood hotel is amazing ... Polite treatment and newer same prices but really enjoyable. Please do not stay at the loews hotel if you want to have a nice time in LA.

Stayed at this hotel in September 2013 for four nights. Rooms were very clean and modern with an exceptionally comfortable bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. This is a great hotel for first timers to Los Angeles ideally located on the corner of Hollywood and Highland with lots going on during the day and evening. Even more ideally located for those without a car. Would deffiantly stay at this hotel again on our next trip to the west coast!
