We enjoyed some drinks here on a Sunday afternoon. The view of downtown offers a unique perspective. There was a live band playing some cool jazzy music that really made it nice.

For 3 PM on Sunday - it was standing room only. You may want to get a reservation or plan on arriving early for a drink.

I adore this bar. It's charming, vintage, chic and yet understated. Perfect for drinks and food. See it before everyone else discovers this French nest.

Entertained group of eight associates who sampled many appetizers, slads, various entrees, and a good selection of deserts. Highlights included butternut squash tortellini - very rich - Escolar, seabass over risotto - good but lots of garlic - filet and short ribs - heavy. Bread pudding won desert honors. Very attentive service. Popular bar with great views. Reservations recommended.

Perch is a fun bar on the 16th floor of a building overlooking Pershing Square in downtown, Los Angeles. The vibe is trendy & French-pop, but the clientele early on Friday evening (before 9:30) was fairly laid back. Definitely don't come in street clothes, but no need to go all out, for those calling it a night early. The views are in all directions and it's fun to try to point out attractions on the LA skyline: City Hall, Mt Wilson, the jets lined up to land at LAX... The drink menu is delicious, as well. My friend got the Pink Lady and I got a peach Bellini. With a full bar, another friend created a drink and the bar tender humored him. Arriving at 8 or 8:30pm, we were able to go straight up to the roof, but there were waits for both the rooftop and the restaurant by the time we left at 9:30pm (on a Friday of a holiday weekend). (For a cheaper, lower-key dessert, check out Syrup around the corner!) Close to the Pershing Square metro station, we were able to take the GoldLine in from Pasadena, no parking or DD required!

The food is pricey, however the views, atmosphere and the experiece will make you want to come back again. The bar upstairs on the rooftop is even better
