We arrived at 5 am from Hawaii with an eleven hour lay over before our flight to Heathrow. We needed to rest and found the Super 8 through the free phones at the airport terminal. There was initially a mix up with the shuttle as reception arrange your collection, not like the main hotels who have a constant relay of shuttles. Upon checking in we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the room, ie good size, crisp clean sheets and the fully equipped bathroom. The staff were very helpful and we left feeling refreshed. A great location for airport stopovers without breaking the bank and we would thoroughly recommend if simplicity is all you want.
Stayed one night en route to Hawaii. Funny 1930's style motel straight out of a movie set but room, although dated 1970's, was spotless and unusually comfortable. Nice and quiet - even the aeroplanes overhead can't be heard in the rooms. No food was on offer but there's a Burger King within easy walking distance. Early morning call - for a shuttle back to LAX - worked. Very inexpensive. Book on-line through an agency - you'll get a better deal. If you want a bed for the night close to LAX this is the place to go.
Close to car rental returns and the airport. The parking lot was full when I arrived, but the "check in" spots were open and the CSR let me park there for the evening. He also asked if I wanted a first floor or second floor room because of the amount of luggage I wanted a first floor and he put me in a room close to the office. Breakfast was average, but at least it was available.
