Located on Historic Route 66, we stayed at this motel during a road trip vacation following old route 66 through New Mexico, Arizona, and California. Only minutes from the Santa Monica Pier and only $60 a night.
I was charmed by this little motel. It's an older structure -1940's? and quaint. Sure, it’s tucked between a gas station and an ”I’m not really sure I recall what that concrete block on the other side was”, yet still! When you walk in the front office door, you expect to be inside a building… but no! Instead, you are in a little, open-air courtyard, with a vintage motor court laid out around you. The night manager was friendly, the room was reasonably clean, the shower pressure was intense; good value.More
