Caught up with Volto æ The Mint on May 17th. What a Great Show!! That Danny Carey is someone to see, such precision and focus. He is definitely one of my new favs.
The venue reminded me of a place that we used to attend in the 80's, old school vibe with a hint of bands passed through. Really enjoyed the great drinks and the fries with specialty sauces were a welcome snack. Parking was fine, meter but not after 6 on Saturdays. Would go back.

“Parking, Value, Tuneage”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

Went into The Mint for the first time in mid-October for a good dose of some “Americana” music and wasn’t disappointed … 3 bands, 10 bucks, a righteous musical value. There is plenty of Free Parking in the area around The Mint … appeared to be a safe neighborhood (I’m from the other coast) so no worries there. Drinks were competitively priced with a good selection of craft beer and a late-night plate of nachos hit the spot. Not sure what sort of music is “typical” at this venue but the house was rockin’ the (Wednesday) night I was there. The crowd was there for the music, not to “be seen.” The headliners (Dustbowl Revival) were finishing up a residency there and were terrific … if your toes weren’t tapping, then you were without the benefit of a pulse. Dustbowl Revival said they are playing a New Year’s Eve show (2013/2014) at The Mint … If I was in town that would be my destination.
Other tips – If you want a seat, get there early. It’s a small venue so Don’t Be Shy about bringing earplugs. Wide demographic: 20’s to 50’s. Staff was familiar and helpful.

“Great place for a live show”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Friday night show, and I expected the place to be packed and parking difficult to find. I found a spot right around the corner, probably the closest spot possible when not parking in front. Awesome!

The atmosphere is chill and inviting, and I love the intimate setting of the place. The drinks were average priced for this type of venue and location, in my opinion ($16 for a double whiskey on the rocks, served in a 12oz rocks glass!).

Staff was cool and let us hang out and talk with the band after the show, and didn't hustle us out.

“Rude staff”
Reviewed July 20, 2005

Went to this club a couple of weeks ago. To my dismay I experienced the most awful service known to mankind. One particular bartender was extremely rude and the wait staff was unapologetic about his behavior. We also overheard some comments made to some patrons who were at the bar about the act that was playing there and just thought that it was a very unproffesional move on this bartenders part. Management needs to address proper etiquette and train their employees to value the customers that come into their establishment.
