An architectural masterpiece that we enjoyed very much. From the perfect size of the stairs that do not let you feel you're climbing, to the breathtaking views from the roofs and balconies, through the aesthetic textures of all buildings.
Pure pleasure.
Well kept, well maintained.
Beautiful and original gardening, wisely using the unique topography to create impressing visual effects.
We were not impressed with the art in that museum. After visiting all the great museums in Europe and north America, the art there is not really remarkable, but we came for the center itself and it was worthwhile
The genius architect who has planned that museum gave us a huge gift of pleasure, thank you Mr Richard Meier.

Sitting high atop the plateau overlooking Santa Monica and UCLA, is the world class Getty Museum. Next to Disney Concert Hall, this is one of the top cultural aspects of Los Angeles. The breadth and depth of the Getty art holdings is staggering. Plan to spend at lease 4 to 5 hours, and you will still not see it all.

The highlight for me was the Getty Museum architecture. I highly recommend the architecture tour to learn all about the materials used, the modern yet classic style, and how the buildings and structures compliment the environment.

I'm not a tour person, but the architectural and garden tours here were just wonderful. It's such a fascinating museum architecturally that it's well worth the time, and the docents were terrific. I also took a highlights of the museum tour, which was less satisfying, but the museum is a must and has great works of art throughout. Went to the cafe for lunch, which was OK.
